Just read this in the Cuusoo blog

"We're happy to announce that LEGO Minecraft Micro World is now shipping! If you pre-ordered your LEGO Minecraft set on J!NX, they began shipping pre-orders in the order received starting June 13, so if you have not received it yet, look forward to it arriving soon.

"If you haven't gotten yours yet and are you are purchasing other Minecraft-related merchandise, your best bet is to order your Minecraft set from J!NX. If you're ordering other LEGO sets or are building up your VIP Points, you can order from LEGO Shop at Home. LEGO Minecraft Micro World retails for $34.99 / €34,99."

Perhaps more significant (for me, anyway) is that the 21101 Hayabusa will be available from July 8:

"Hayabusa, the second LEGO CUUSOO set, is on sale now in Japan and will be available to order from shop.LEGO.com starting July 8 and will be sold online to all 23 countries that shop.LEGO.com services and retail at $49.00 / €49,00."

Great news about Minecraft. Also Huw, you should check out the four CUUSOO pages for the Modular Western Town, BTTF, Zelda and EVE Online. All say in place of the "Support" button that they have passed review, but there are no official comments to go along with this. Seems strange.

I want that Hayabusa so this is great news. :D

The Hayabusa is a lovely model by the looks of it so that will be a must have for me. The Minecraft set not so much.

I guess I just don't understand the appeal of nearly any of these CUUSOO sets. Especially this Hayabusa model. Are people excited about it for MOC-ability? New unique pieces? Do you really think that it is an amazing model worthy of display on a shelf? Were some amazing building techniques used? The only reason why I could ever see myself purchasing this set would be to support a fan-created design, but in all honesty I don't think that I will. I have this same attitude towards the 'Birds' and 'Minecraft', but at least we know with Minecraft there is already a decent fan base behind it, but it is so small, is it really worth purchasing?

The only CUUSOO set that I will have to purchase and only be limited by my financial standing at the time of release, is the Modular Western Town. For that set, I am truly excited.

^^ No chance. £40 at least.

I love Minecraft and the set, but I just don't like the idea of £35 for a set full of 1x1 tiles.

Finally I can pick up the Hayabusa at retail - I have been hesitant to pick up one on "the Bay" in hopes they'll be available stateside.

Just have to wait a few more weeks...

I cant wait for hayabusa as I have been trying to stop myself from buying it on eBay... So glad i did as I really want it :)

Obviously hayabusa didn't sell as well as they thought if they've had to release it worldwide. Had mine a couple of months from Japanese supplier for about £55 inc p&p so ok for price but annoyed about exclusivity.
Won't be bothering with mine craft though - just doesn't appeal. Sop with camel is where my money is going ...

Does this mean 21100: Shinkai 6500 Submarine will be getting a worldwide release too?

I really don't understand LEGO releasing 21101: Hayabusa which is obviously a niche set worldwide when they still haven't released Master Builder Academy outside the USA, when MBA appeals to their core demographic!

My nephew purchased it off the shelf at LEGOLAND Florida today, salesperson said this was the first day it has been available.

^^^^ @AlexWeston We intended to release Hayabusa worldwide from the beginning given the collector demand on CUUSOO sets. Enjoy!

^^^ @Cam'n'Stu The 21100 Shinkai will not be released worldwide. It was the first CUUSOO product, we made a very limited run of them, and they are only sold at retail in Japan.

@wiredforsound LOVE your Minecraft shots on Flickr! :-)
