He's certainly getting round a bit, isn't he...

Txeluis reports that El Corte Ingles stores in Spain are now selling LotR sets, but at high prices:

    9469 - 18 €, 9470 - 31,50 €, 9471 - 45 €, 9472 - 69 €, 9473 - 99 €, 9474 - 164 €

He adds "At these prices I imagine that people would wait..."

Kruu reports they are now available in Croatia, too, and it looks as if the prices are comparable:

    9476 - The Orc Forge - 399,99 kn (about 53 €), 9470 - Shelob Attacks - 219,99 kn (about 29 €), 9471 - Uruk-Hai Army - 319,99 kn (about 43 €), 9469 - Gandalf Arrives - 129,99 kn (about 17 €), 9473 - The Mines of Moria - 639,99 kn (about 85 €), 9474 - The Battle Of Helm's Deep - 1.199,99 (about 160 €).

Usually prices in Spain are high always, it's a pity because spanish comunity have a great LEGO fans but prices and our bad economy don't allow us to buy more. unlucky I will wait to buy from the net.

By the way I'm happy to see LotR arround here

Posted by alijoezac in United Kingdom, 04 Jul 2012 14:37

They are available now on amazon.es at much better prices than these.

Posted by Rockman Xtreme in United States, 04 Jul 2012 14:54

Yikes, those are HIGH prices!

Posted by Ginnosuke in Spain, 04 Jul 2012 15:22

They are also avaible at shop.lego.com/en-ES

Posted by derfazoid in Switzerland, 04 Jul 2012 15:38

Saw them in Switzerland as well. Orc Forge was similarly priced to croatian rate at about 60 CHF ~= 50€. Can't remember the others. Really quite the rip-off.

Gandalf sure is getting around. That horse of his must be knackered!!!

Posted by txelu in Spain, 04 Jul 2012 15:43

Yes. I knew about cheaper amazon prices, but there is a 3-5 weeks delivery estimate...

Txelu (aka Txeluis ;-))

Posted by H5N1 in Germany, 04 Jul 2012 16:06

Well I got them all about 2 weeks ago from the German Site exoneit.de at about 10% off. Don't know what the problem is in your countries. In Germany we have the sets in literally every retailer you can think of at the normal price.
Amazon.de also offers every set with a marginal discount.

Posted by Cwetqo in Slovenia, 04 Jul 2012 16:24

We in Slovenia (in EU) also have them, for about a week now. 9469 is 14.99 euro and 9474 is 139 euro, which are I think decent prices.

Gandalf also hit the online-shelves in Holland already. Prices aren't that bad. I saw the Helm's Deep box for just € 115,00!!!

I also checked at some local toy-stores, but they told me to wait for August. The Orc Forge isn't even listed at those stores.

I believe some LotR sets are already available in our country as well; as I received a heads-up last week from one of the store staff.

The prices I think, are outrageous; especially for licensed themes like this. I might just buy the most (and only) affordable of the sets.

Nothing in Belgium :(
Fortunately, we can still go to Amazon.fr or .es or .de, but always feel forsaken by TLG in our little country :-/

Posted by esr1979 in Spain, 05 Jul 2012 02:48

Hi there,

There is a shop in Spain that is also selling them (internet and directly in shop). www.electricbricks.com.

I wanted to tell to administrator but I don't know how to e-mail him/her :(.

Cheers.

Posted by dargorsl in Spain, 05 Jul 2012 02:52

Amazon Spain had all of them in stock from yesterday. I ordered 9469, 9470 and 9471 and should arrive tomorrow.

Cheers.

Some of the sets are available at Migros in Switzerland, too.

Posted by BrickBob09 in United Kingdom, 05 Jul 2012 04:35

@esr1979; On the front page there is a link that says "Have news? Get in touch!" (situated on the same bar as "News and site updates" to the right). This leads you to the following page http://www.brickset.com/contact/ which is the best place to e-mail any news or other comments to the Brickset staff.

Now to the news: Any multi-millionaire with a good heart willing to send these to an innocent victim of heavy addiction of small plastic bricks, as the result of a greedy, misleading company?

No?

Ah well, it was worth a try :P

In a hungarian store:
9469 - 14 €, 9470 - 26 €, 9473 - 78 €, 9474 - 140 €, 9476 - 51 €, (converted prices)

Posted by jikamuseum in Belgium, 05 Jul 2012 05:01

For the belgian fans, I just received the confirmation from the LEGO PR Manager Nordic Benelux (which is a really kind person) who says that all the LOTR sets will be available in August. So it's useless to go on lego.com every day to see if they're finally online ;)

Posted by max villano in Greece, 05 Jul 2012 06:00

What about italy? is the sets available in there?

Posted by esr1979 in Spain, 05 Jul 2012 07:03

@BrickBob09 Thanks for the information. I was a little blind this morning :)

Posted by Moexy in Belgium, 05 Jul 2012 08:59

Thanx for the update jikamuseum! :)

Posted by Axl in Switzerland, 05 Jul 2012 12:40

I got the 4 smallest LotR sets two weeks ago, and all seven LotR sets were in Stock, so I guess the release date in Switzerland was around the 20 jun.
But the prices are very high, just like the posted prices for Spain and Croatia.

Posted by Karpp e diem in Germany, 05 Jul 2012 15:09

They're everywhere at the "normal" Price in Germany, and in some it's even a bit cheaper. Globus sells them for a bit cheaper: 9469 at 13€ instead of 15€, 9470 at 25€ instead of 27€ and so on.

Now I have to say that what's considered the "normal" price in the EU is way too high, especially considering the US-dollar price. 9471 at 40€ instead of 30$, that's FIFTY bloody dollars!

I blame New Line Cinema.

Posted by dugmence in Yugoslavia, 05 Jul 2012 17:09

available in Serbia since May 18th :
9469-2490rsd (~21,65€)
9471-6900rsd(~60€)
9472-10500rsd(~91,30€)
9473-13800rsd(~120€)
9476-9100rsd(~79,13€)
9470-4690rsd(~40,78€)
9474-241900rsd(~210,35€)

these are the regular prices for this market... :(

Posted by Branko in Australia, 05 Jul 2012 23:20

I have the feeling that the release date distribution this year is more extreme than before.
In Australia we have been able to get most new sets for a while now alhough they are not listed on the Lego shop at home website, whereas in the USA most sets are not available yet.
I thought that last year the themes got released first at different locations and then rolled out across the globe. Had anyone kept track of that?

Posted by BrianOg in France, 05 Jul 2012 23:39

I got the Lego VIP club email this morning -so from shop at home France prices are similar to Germany, in increasing order: €15, 27, 40, 50 (for the orc's forge) 63, 85, 150

Posted by Gray Ghost in United States, 06 Jul 2012 04:00

I saw all of the Lord of the rings sets at my local TRU out in the NW, they were on an end rack with the monster fighters sets. They all seem to have the shop at home prices without the mark-up.

Posted by Aurelius in Czech Republic, 06 Jul 2012 05:37

Finally available in Czech republic:
9469 ~12€
9471 ~32€
9472 ~48€
9473 ~66€
9476 ~43€
9470 ~22€
9474 ~120€
I feel that LEGO is cheaper here every year...

isnt the orc forge a target exclusive

Posted by Karpp e diem in Germany, 07 Jul 2012 06:23

Apparently, only so in the US. I saw it in Karstadt, Globus, Galleria and X-comics in Germany.
