    10199: Winter Village Toy Shop
    Seasonal/Winter Village, 2009
    More details...

The much anticipated Winter Toy Shop iconcan now be ordered from LEGOshop.com priced £39.15 in the UK, as previously reported, and US$60 in the USA.  It's not yet in our product feed and is a job to actually find on the LEGO site (searching for 10199 or Winter Toy Shop is unsuccessful) so use these links to order it: UKicon | USA icon (thanks dermott47)

Also, whung found two more Christmas sets in the LEGO instructions cache: 30008 Snowman and 30009 Christmas Tree. As if there weren't enough holiday sets to buy already!

UPDATE - These sets are starting to appear in LEGO Brand Stores & Imagination Centers; we have received confirmed reports from the US (Minneapolis) & the UK (Milton Keynes), so it's presumably in the German stores too.

Another update: As proof that LEGO read Brickset, I've been asked to inform you that searching for the terms mentioned above DOES now work!

me want! not so cheap, not so expensive.

Posted by BrianOg in France, 01 Oct 2009 12:40

I got an email this afternoon advertising this on lego.com/france. €69, seems very expensive though - I just got 6754 Family Home which at €58 was dear enough. But I don't see how I'm gonna get out of buying this set. Its just too sweet.

Cool. Now where's the haunted house set I've been waiting oh so long for?

Posted by Batmaniam in Canada, 01 Oct 2009 13:06

Man, I want this, this looks so awesome!

Posted by natro220 in United States, 01 Oct 2009 14:00

Wow, 815 pieces and 7 minifigs, not to mention lots of cool rare elements...I'd say it's not that expensive at all!

Posted by VWBeetle1626 in Poland, 01 Oct 2009 14:15

YES! I must buy this set! But in Poland it's very high price - 300 zlotys. It's to much. Why in Polish S@H is too high prices?! I cant understand it!

Posted by 18000pieces in United States, 01 Oct 2009 16:37

Hey, my prediction about the price was right! 60 dollars is a steal for a set this awesome. I love it when LEGO does miniature toys. Just look at that robot! And the train! They're so cute. I'll have to get my grandparents to buy me this for my birthday, instead of the Fallingwater set.

I'm getting this.

(Huw: the whole posting and editing aspects of the site are completely out of whack for me, now. Everything worked perfectly fine this past Sunday.)

Now on to the topic at hand:

You may be able to buy the Winter Toy Shop at Lego Brand Retail locations in America as of today. Reports from Minnesota say that it is available for sale at the MOA LIC.

Lego is also listing instructions for this set in their cache: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/4566066.pdf

Many thanks to TooMuchDew on Flickr for his very, very informative comment. Lets hope the rain lets up soon, so he can get to his sets! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/25285137@N04/3972463221/#comment72157622498210886).

Youy get lots of pieces with this set: 815 pieces! The building could be used all year round too if you changed the colour of the roof and the lights on the trees

I'm going to Disney this weekend, so I can look at the LEGO store in DT Disney. I hope they have it there!

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 02 Oct 2009 18:23

I got the shop last night from Tysons, VA (along with Pirates TicTacToe) and we just love them. And at $60 USD, the shop is just extraordinary. I don't think many people will be able to pass this one up and I think many of us will just have to get a 2nd.

With the 3 modular buildings, Town Plan, Tantive IV, Castle Market, Peril in Peru, Merry Go Round, Toy Shop, Death Star, Beach House, At-At, etc....I absolutely believe we are living in the Golden Age of Lego. And this comes from someone who fondly remembers the age of Western and Pirates legos.

This set IS available in lego store DT Disney!
