The original source is eurobricks.com in their superheroes rumours and discussions forum, cheers @NRG77 for the info, do you also have any more info on this

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 19 Sep 2012 16:11

Galaxy squad sounds like Space Police. I hope there's a western fort for Lone Ranger.

Posted by NRG77 in Hungary, 19 Sep 2012 16:18

I posted those infos on eurobricks.com
You are welcome

Posted by CM4S in United States, 19 Sep 2012 16:18

I added a tons more in the forums, like Series 10 color, Ferarri or whatever idk

EDIT: Ijstoren translates to Ice Tower.

Posted by ickleb in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2012 16:25

Very exciting, but when will we be getting a new Castle series??

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2012 16:26

^^ Doh, thanks -- I hadn't read the forum today, I've been to LEGOLAND and busy updating my iPad to iOS6 this evening...

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2012 16:32

The Super Heroes sets sound good, I wonder if Arkham etc. will be in a later wave or are simply yet to be revealed? I am really excited for the Scarecrow and Penguin Minifigures, as well as that prison suited Joker and Harley in her nurse uniform! Galaxy Squad sounds interesting but I will wait until we actually see some pictures before making too much of a judgement on that. Why Lego chose to discontinue Alien Conquest is still beyond me. The Lone Ranger could be brilliant, but again we will have to wait and see.

Posted by TH3_L3G0_G3N1U5 in Canada, 19 Sep 2012 16:44

Galaxy Squad reminds me of Insectoids.

And why does it take licensing for Lego to re-introduce a Western theme line? That means that the sets will cost more than necessary. Y U NO do classic western???

Posted by Firox 5000 in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2012 16:45

Liking the sound of the super hero sets. Galaxy squad sounds interesting too. Not really interested in the rest.

Posted by sloopsjohng in United States, 19 Sep 2012 16:49

"Construction Site", eh? Hmmmm...

Posted by Blockland in United States, 19 Sep 2012 16:50

I hope the Galaxy squad theme lives up to the classic space theme. But in all honesty, what we need is lego to make a lego Contra/Probotector game or theme.

Posted by Plasmodium in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2012 17:02

@ickleb, probably not while Lord of the Rings is still being sold. See, it's a blessing and a curse...sigh... :P
But we do have both of the copyrighted names that Huw told us about earlier (Legends of Chima and Speedorz), it seems that 'speedorz' are something to do with Legends of Chima, not seperate, like everyone assumed.

So there will be a Space theme likely similar in concept to Insectoids. That was one of the few sub-themes of classic space that I could actually understand the unique appeal of. I was never motivated to buy any space sets pre-monorail simply because the parts became brittle and discoloured due to their age. Galaxy Squad sounds like we'll see more human SpacePolice/ADU type figures. If that's as close to spacemarines/commandos as we get, I'm fine with that.

It's also nice to have something a little more "solid" for evidence we're going to get Lone Ranger sets sometime next year. I collect anything within my budget that I think is different, so as long as it lives up to the quality we saw in sets from the Pirates and Prince of Persia lines I'll be happy to purchase them. Disney licensed sets are usually on sale as opposed to other themes like Starwars and HarryPotter, so the mark up doesn't hurt as much.

I am so going to be broke in 2013 lol. So many awesome sounding sets

Posted by Namanbricks in United States, 19 Sep 2012 17:31

YA FOR THE TUMBLER!!!!!!! The other sets sound great can't wait to see the pics.

Posted by alijoezac in United Kingdom, 19 Sep 2012 17:32

Mmm very interesting, but what about SpongeBob?

Posted by perfectlydark in Australia, 19 Sep 2012 17:45

sweet, Country House sounds good, as do some of the super hero set. I hope 'Marvel 4' involves more X-Men sets cause just one really isnt enough!
More X-Men!

Posted by legomocs in United States, 19 Sep 2012 17:48

Finally! A western reboot!! I wonder if the western idea on CUUSOO had anything to do with it.
Still, I can't wait for it!!

Here's a bit more info about the Western Theme:

Posted by xj550 in United States, 19 Sep 2012 18:08

I would totally get into Galaxy Squad if it was like the Galaxy Patrol fig in CMF Series 7. Mix it in a bit with classic space, i.e. black, red, white suits. Similar color palate with modern looking space craft versions of the classic.

I doubt aliens would be like in Starcraft or Starship Troopers, but that was be great.

Posted by Mighty Wanderer in United States, 19 Sep 2012 18:43

@xj550 - Someone (I forgot where I saw it) saw the Galaxy Quest sets, and said it had a very old-space feel to it, and was way better than Alien Conquest/Space Police. I'm hoping I feel the same way.

I'm not really sure yet where I stand on Legends of Chima, I won't be able to say one way or the other until I can see the sets/understand the theme, but Marvel looks pretty awesome. I hope the set with the Beetle doesn't out-price my wallet.

For the Lone Ranger, I sure hope they have a new type of cowboy hat, because the current Indiana ones just don't look right. Although I'm really glad that it's actually a new Western theme, I hope I can catch a glimpse of the sets soon. :)

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 19 Sep 2012 19:22

As long at the Creator sets are priced right, I'll buy them. Will get all but the Princess one for Bricks and more, all good ones to do.

Posted by Brickarmor in United States, 19 Sep 2012 19:30

SPACE IS BACK! I really hope it delivers.

Posted by nightmarevalkyrie in United States, 19 Sep 2012 19:49

With the NY toy fair just around the corner who know what will happen I think the Spiderman Bat cycle sounds like a 10-20$ set since most sets that come with Motorcycles are small, the mission at daily bugle makes me wonder? The Lone ranger sounds cool hopefully some new gun molds since Lego only has a few molds, same thing for the galaxy squad I love the Aliens that we got from the Space Police theme to add. The legends of Chima sets seem interesting hopefully they make a Raccoon head for various customs I want to make (Rocket Raccoon) and I wonder what Lego Superheroes Marvel 4 is?

Posted by spency13 in United States, 19 Sep 2012 20:37

Marvel 4?

Posted by mars4life in United States, 19 Sep 2012 21:20

I hope the galaxy thing is like insectiods, cause I thought those were great. Lone ranger sounds like it could be pretty awesome too

Posted by JustinR87 in United States, 19 Sep 2012 21:59

Could Marvel 4 mean Fantastic 4?

Posted by MoonKnight in United States, 19 Sep 2012 22:57

If it's called chase with tumbler, that must mean that the tumbler is either chasing or being chased by something. THE BAT!!!!!!

Posted by theSource in United States, 19 Sep 2012 23:24

The name I saw for 76007 was "Iron Man Malibu Mansion" 40$
These are the ones that are missing from that list:
76002 Superman Metropolis showdown 13$
76003 Superman Battle of smallville 50$
76006 Iron Man Extremis 20$
76008 Iron Man vs Mandarin 13$
76009 Superman: Black Zero Escape 20$

Posted by Dragon_Master_48 in United States, 19 Sep 2012 23:43

That TDKR set... looks worth it for the minifigures alone; I can't wait to see the pictures.

The Galaxy Squad sounds interesting, like it could either be really good or really bad...

Chima sounds bad from the set names alone. X_X

Posted by yodaman5556 in New Zealand, 19 Sep 2012 23:44

The set 70106 Speedorz Ijstoren (listed under Legends of Chima) has not been translated properly. The Ijstoren bit is actually German for "Ice Tower". Could someone please update the set list, so that people don't republish it with the wrong set name. Also, someone should add the information that has been posted the other comments on this article.

I am looking forward to seeing what these sets will look like! :)

Posted by m8anU1 in Australia, 20 Sep 2012 01:15

Thankfully me is gonna getting a job. So Speedorz must be part a legends of chima.

Posted by indyman09 in Netherlands, 20 Sep 2012 01:37

Ijstoren is definitely not German, it would have been 'Eisturm' if it's German ;)

Posted by audiobean in Singapore, 20 Sep 2012 02:11

Galaxy Squad.. bugs and insects in a space theme. This could be interesting! ;)

Posted by audiobean in Singapore, 20 Sep 2012 02:16

And the Technic 42002 Hovercraft.. could it possibly be a working hovercraft?! :) That will be so cool.

Posted by Vortex in Pakistan, 20 Sep 2012 02:16

Coming from a core SW brickster .... Looks like 2013 could be the year of the Super Heroes , i mean wow !

Posted by blounty23 in United Kingdom, 20 Sep 2012 02:46

I think that Ijstoren isn't in another language, I think it is a made up word, like Spinjitzu, or other things to do with Ninjago. The super heroes sets sound wicked. Is the Tumbler set from Dark Night Rises?

Posted by BJMdotLEGO in United Kingdom, 20 Sep 2012 02:51

Ijstoren is Dutch.

Posted by TheLens19 in United Kingdom, 20 Sep 2012 02:58

City??

Posted by Peter1975 in Netherlands, 20 Sep 2012 03:09

"IJstoren" is Dutch for Ice Tower. Or 'a tower of Ice'.

Posted by dcmal in United Kingdom, 20 Sep 2012 03:34

Galaxy Squad sounds a lot like Space Marines to me. "Interceptor", "Command Shuttle" etc. I also found it hard to believe that the two new molds for the CMF Series 7 Space Marine (body armour and helmet) were really only going to be used for Lex Luthor and nowhere else.

Yay!

Posted by Vortex in Pakistan, 20 Sep 2012 03:36

42000 Grand Prix Racer - Very curious and excited !

Posted by ChicoCheco in Norway, 20 Sep 2012 03:56

I was hopin that this Galaxy Squad will be mew Space related theme, but from the names I assumed this will be action figures again - I am not interested. The Brick and more + Creator however, sounds promising.

Posted by Vortex in Pakistan, 20 Sep 2012 04:12

Any word on the Modulars ,the UCS and other flagship goods ?

Posted by the_real_indy in United States, 20 Sep 2012 05:05

I'm sure that "Marvel 4" is just a simple place-holder-title, just because it is the 4th Marvel set in this wave. If it DOES turn out to be "Iron Man Malibu Mansion" (as "TheSource" suggested several posts up above), then I will have an O! It'll be great to have a more up-tempo and brightly-lit bachelor-pad style super hero house to compliment the darkness and the brooding vibe of the Batcave. If it is $40, then it may just include the bare essentials, and then you could get creative and MOC it over to a Fortress of Solitude, or a Croft Manor, or anything!! Also, are there any existing older sets that would fit that style? I am thinking of a stylin' bachelor pad or a mansion, rather than just a tech lab...

Posted by the_real_indy in United States, 20 Sep 2012 05:20

Also, looking at the updated set list in the database here, It is great to see a mostly even mix of heroes...!

Batman = 2 sets
Superman = 3 sets
Iron Man = 3 sets (presumably)
Spider Man = 2 sets

And so that makes 5 DC sets and 5 Marvel sets announced... I've got my Christmas list all ready to go! =)

Posted by icey in Denmark, 20 Sep 2012 05:29

Sad they didn't make the BATPOD with side-rotation wheels... should have been a great success! Well, well, gotta make ourselves then!

Posted by cinemajay in United States, 20 Sep 2012 10:35

Wow, sounds like a few movie spoilers are in those superhero sets (Superman and Iron Man). Both have films in 2013....

Posted by The_Creator in United States, 20 Sep 2012 10:37

*Facepalm* CAN'T TLG MAKE A UNLICENSED WESTERN THEME. I've been wanting a new Western theme forever and now it's licensed so there goes any chance of a unlicensed one :/ and even if Modular Western Town
is approved it probably won't be produced till LR ends...
Looks like I might be buying space, sounds very promising :D
LoC, as far as the one pic it looks pretty lame and probably will be useless for any castle usable parts...
76002 Superman Metropolis showdown 13$, YES, I can get Supes in a set for $13 :D

Posted by Vortex in Pakistan, 20 Sep 2012 11:13

LOTR ... Whats the word ? Bag ends ? when do we get our hands on that precious ?? : )

Posted by brixton in Canada, 20 Sep 2012 11:38

Country Home is the big set on this list for me. I wonder what it will look like. I didn't pick-up Seaside House even though I love the baby blue bricks used for it. None of the designs were must haves for me.

Posted by yodaman5556 in New Zealand, 20 Sep 2012 16:17

Marvel 4 sounds like something to do with Fantastic 4.....since LEGO announced they will be producing a Dr. Doom minifigure (http://brickextra.wordpress.com/2012/08/27/some-lego-2013-sets-confirmed/), I have wondered where the Fanatastic 4 sets are....

Posted by Gregorovich in United Kingdom, 20 Sep 2012 16:46

2013 is sounding more and more appealing to me.

The Bricks and More sets sound interesting. A princess with a blue dress and horse? A pink box/case with 2 female figures and a cat? Count me in! I just hope they're both affordable.

Super Heroes also sound very good. It sounds like this wave will be very buildings based, and if it is I will be very happy indeed. I'm not sure I entirely believe the Malibu Mansion rumour; it just doesn't sound like a set TLG would release. However, I really hope I'm wrong, as a set based on Stark's mansion would be right up my street!

Legends of Chima... I'm still very uncertain. The set names actually sound quite exciting, from Jungle Gates to Ice Towers, they could have a lot of potential. However, after seeing that Prelim, I don't have much hope for this theme. It looked like a ton of unnecessary and useless new moulds with not a lot of building.

This new space theme could be superb. If there's big brickbuilt insects alongside minifigure bugs versus nicely coloured spacemen (I just adored that AQ blue colour!) in cool ships, and possibly even some structures, this could be brilliant.

All in all, I'm certainly intrigued! I can only hope that images will live up to expectations.

Posted by cinemajay in United States, 20 Sep 2012 17:20

Marvel 4 could also be for the Thor film scheduled for November of 2013.

Maybe someone just heard it wrong! ;)

Posted by Blockland in United States, 20 Sep 2012 17:41

I've noticed something. All of these sets have something to do with Lego Cuusoo. The Lone Ranger sets will be out, so their won't be a need to for the western project. Same with Galaxy Patrol and space Marines. Its almost as if lego is trying to take down Lego Cuusoo projects...... I doubt it though.

Posted by the_real_indy in United States, 20 Sep 2012 19:37

^^ @Gregorovich,

Rilly? I think that Tony Stark's Mansion is *exactly* the sort of set that TLG *always* makes. Iron Man is a major hero, and so he needs to have a headquarters set! Q.E.D.! At $40, it might just contain the essential elements, and then you could easily add some cool sports cars and a display case for the spare iron suits to jazz it up. It would also be dynamite to see similar medium-sized playsets of the Fortress of Solitude and Wonder Woman's Paradise Island. Again, if they are all in the $40 range, then the most devoted fans could always add on some extra architecture and extra features to amp them up to the max!

Posted by Ibnu Khilaf in Brunei Darussalam, 21 Sep 2012 00:54

wonder what is the modular for next year...

Posted by Plasmodium in United Kingdom, 21 Sep 2012 04:35

@Blockland: Interesting point...very suspicious. ;)

Posted by Gregorovich in United Kingdom, 21 Sep 2012 06:29

@the_real_indy: Yes, TLG do make headquarters sets. However, not usually this type, and especially not in a theme like this. A millionaire playboy's Malibu bachelor pad - does that sound like a little boy's Super Heroes play set to you? I think if they focus more on the basement part where all the cars and suits are then I suppose it would be more 'boyish' and fun, but I'm hoping they'll focus on the actual house, and include some fancy furniture and lots of glassy transparent pieces.

I also hope we get a Pepper minifigure; imagine that, a LEGO Gwyneth Paltrow! ;)

Posted by bluishgrey in United States, 21 Sep 2012 11:54

Can't wait to buy the Lone Ranger stuff on deep discount .... just like POTC and POP ;D

Posted by yodaman5556 in New Zealand, 21 Sep 2012 16:36

Woops! I meant 70106 Speedorz Ijstoren means 70106 Speedorz Ice Tower in Dutch. Maybe LEGO want to include some Dutch words in their set names -or someone didn't translate it properly...:)

Posted by cinemajay in United States, 24 Sep 2012 15:28

@ bluishgrey, that is EXACTLY my fear. If the licensed theme tanks, then TLG will use it as an excuse to stay away from an unlicensed Western theme.

Posted by bluishgrey in United States, 25 Sep 2012 12:44

@ cinemajay .... I hear ya'. I'd like to see an unlicensed Western theme too. One with indians and teepees, stagecoach hold ups, US calvary, bandit hideouts, steam locomotives and of course a town (with excessive rootin' and tootin' ;)

Either way, I just don't see the Lone Ranger stuff selling well after the initial buzz from the movie release. Who knows?

Posted by the_real_indy in United States, 28 Sep 2012 21:19

^^^^^ @Gregorovich, Oh, yes, I totally agree... It will probably focus on the basement lab and garage, but I'd love to see more of the (ahem) *upstairs* of the bachelor pad! ;) Obviously, they can't include his bar and drinks, but how about at least the couch and the fireplace?! =D Otherwise we'll just have to MOC it using the lovely bottles and martini glasses from BrickForge... Note that you can put a trans-colored stud into them upside-down to make it look like a margarita or a fruity drink. Now all we need is more mini-fig females... Perhaps Black Widow can come for a visit?! =)
