I bought the Jedi Starfighter set despite what some other people had said about it... since I never cared about anyone's negative feedback except my own. If anyone in Canada is on the fence about this set, I'd tell you it's worth getting. At $50 it won't get cheaper than that (especially if you're in Canada). Spending $35+ will get you a City miners polybag which includes a miner (a $4.99 value) so that, in a sense, makes the deal even sweeter. Since it's a UCS it comes with a stand so it certainly saves you the trouble of making space for it in a crowd of other ships. Perhaps the only thing awkward about it would be the astromech head size in comparison to the cockpit size ratio.

The only valid complaint about the set that anyone needed to worry about was the retail price. Considering it's TRU, they're throwing you a bone early in October... don't miss your chance to get yourself a good treat!

I love how I've been wanting one of these for a few months now because they've been out of stock everywhere in the US. Despite the star fighter's bad piece count, it just looks really nice to me. Gonna have to pay the markup from eBay re-sellers now.

Both the Starfighter and TRU truck just put us over $75, so we can collect the Bricktober promo also!

Now I gotta find a way into the city...

Don't bet on finding a truck. My local store sold out at noon the day the sale started. :( I saw a guy pick up the very last one on the shelf.

I believe they are discontinuing the TRU truck. They used to be on sale for 20% off. Now it's 50% off. Maybe something new from Lego x TRU coming soon?

Picked up both Obi-wans Starfighter and the TRU truck today at Kitchener store. They had both in-stock with lots of starfighters left and a couple of trucks. Got the vintage mini-figure pack 1 (2 starts Friday) and the city polybag for free. Pretty good deal!
