The free shipping offer (on orders over £50/$99) at shop.LEGO.com has started this week, although I'm told that despite being informed at the start of the month that it would start yesterday in the UK, it didn't, but it is supposed to today.

Click on the banner above to get shopping, and if you're in the UK don't forget to use the promotional code CAKE when you check out to receive a free 40048 Birthday Cake, exclusively to visitors to AFOL sites!

Hm, I don't see free shipping on the hungarian or UK site. And the banner is not clickable.

I was informed by the LEGO Customer Service that there will be no free shipping promotion to Hungary.
However when I roll the mouse over my bag, it says "Spend 17000 Ft to get FREE delivery", and if I put 17000 Ft or more goods to my shopping cart, the shipping charge turns to FREE.

Update: Now there is a banner advertising the free shipping thru 12th December!!!!

It definitely kicked in just after midnight last night on the UK store (because I had been waiting for the 16th for the free delivery to start, but found out it hadn't when I tried to order. I called Lego and they said it starts from 17th, so I let Huw know).

Don't forget it's for orders over £50 only. I ordered the Winter Village Cottage ready for a new Christmas family tradition. I also got myself the nifty desk calendar and the halloween mini figure set (oh and the free cake set of course, plus double VIP points!!).

The free delivery becomes an option once your order exceeds £50. The usual £3.95 charge is replaced with 'Free'.

Just received my LEGO catalog for Christmas, and looking at the stocking filler page, LEGO have made a big mistake! The 'Santa with Sleigh' set, number 40010, is in the catalog, but hasn't been on LEGO shop since 2010!! The same thing has happened to all the sets on this page! Sort yourself out LEGO!!

Free shipping also for Belgium till 19 Dec on orders over 55€.
Time to expand the Winter Village and get the traditional Advent Calendars :-) .
Seasonal products for Christmas are not there yet, only the Halloween 850487 and 40020.

How long does free shipping run in the US?

Posted by LostInTranslation in United Kingdom, 17 Oct 2012 17:43

^^^ I doubt it's a mistake - the baubles are already in stock at LLW, I'm told.
I'm more concerned about the misspelling of "magnet" on that page ("magent")! My local independent toy store also has a (presumably official) poster on the door advertising Lego "calenders" [sic].
Sort out your proofreading, TLG!!! My hourly rate is very reasonable if you need a freelancer ;-)

Edit- and another typo on page 44 of the catalogue: "crusier"! :-(
Edit #2: I don't believe it. Page 49 "copmplete". I'm not even reading everything properly and I've seen 3 typos. Epic fail, catalogue people.

I'm so happy that this offer is available in Ireland. :) The only time we got free shipping last year was during the may the fourth promotion. I think I'll be splashing out some money on a few of those exclusive sets pretty soon...

That was all I needed to get around to finishing my order, gonna build me a Christmas train.

Posted by ickleb in United Kingdom, 18 Oct 2012 03:41

I placed my order yesterday and realised that I’d put the wrong shipping address, contacted Lego straight away to get it to be changed… but informed it was already a completed order. So be careful with your shipping address as my order has been dispatched on the same day :) but to the wrong address :( I hope they do Saturday delivery!!

Posted by CzechMate in Australia, 18 Oct 2012 03:41

Will use this to get 9465 and 850487 with a few S8, possibly 9466.

Posted by legobigbloke in United Kingdom, 18 Oct 2012 06:40

^^Last 2 orders I placed arrived on a Saturday. I was most surprised the first time, as for most other companies you normally pay a lot extra for Saturdays.

Posted by Plauge in Austria, 18 Oct 2012 07:21

It's PAB time!

Posted by ickleb in United Kingdom, 18 Oct 2012 07:37

@ legobigbloke thanks for that fingers are defo crossed now.. but being classed as the Highlands of Scotland they sometimes have different ideas about Saturday delivery!
