Shell promotion hits EuropeThe Shell promotion is slowly working its way westwards, and next week will start in Italy.

According to FBTB, so far it's been run in Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau, and the Ukraine.

This advert, sent to me by Vittorio, states it'll be running in Italy from 8th November to 9th January 2013 and you'll be able to get one when you spend €40 on fuel.

The sets available are 30190-30195, plus, possibly 30196 although that one isn't shown in the picture. I presume you'll be able to get a different vehicle each week.

    Thanks Vittorio!

Italy is the land of ferrari, so it makes sense to start the European campaign there. Can't wait for it to come to Belgium.

mmm, it seems you have to fill up with their more expensive V-power fuels, which unfortunately my company won't let me do...

No words about it on the Italian Shell site. Unfortunately, yes, it reads that you need to spend your money on V-power only AND you must subscribe to Shell ClubSmart Card (it should be free).

The Classic question: Stickers or printed bricks? ;-)

Posted by Aanchir in United States, 31 Oct 2012 08:17

^Most parts besides the hood elements and windscreen element from the Cars theme are stickered. There are links to building instructions for all of them over here: http://www.brickset.com/browse/themes/?theme=Racers&subtheme=Ferrari&year=2012 . There you can see exactly which parts are printed and which are not.

Personally, I don't mind stickers. Applying them has always felt like just another part of the build to me (albeit one that, as a child, I usually entrusted to an adult). IMO it's nice to be able to obtain undecorated parts without the knowledge that lovely printed elements had to be defaced for that purpose. And in this case it seems even the parts which are printed have the specific branding as stickers, so they could be easily used for generic car parts without any hassle.

I look forward to these showing up in the US. I don't normally care about Racers sets, but those tiny pull back motors are to die for, and I always enjoyed the Tiny Turbos sets that I got with my LEGO Brickmaster magazine subscription.

I'm from Italy but I live Sicily, where aren't shell service station.I'm really a bad luck person!
And in Italy is a time of economic crisis and Italians can't buy expensives fuels for a LEGO of 15 euros.
