THose look amazing. The toy Story ones are so relistic. THe star wars images are great as well

I just looked at the Star Wars sets and the clone pilots have awesome helmets. Also the freeco Speeder looks well designed.

Are the Toy Story boxes official box designs? Or prototypes?

Star Wars looks good, Toy Story still looks like mega blocks.

I can't wait to pick up a Tie Defender or three. I really think they nailed the design. It's a shame Lego feels that every thing needs flick fire missiles though.

The Freeco Speeder is something I'm definitely going to pick up. That Talz fig is awesome!

The ARC-170 Fighter looks awesome too. but I'm skeptical on getting it due to the fact that I already own the first one. I'm not interested in the rest of the 2010 SW lineup other than the battlepacks.

Even though i own the first arc-170 i like the new one better with the jedi and new clones

Also one of the people on flicker metioned that the Tie defender pilot's helmet looks different i have to agree

The TIE Defender and the ARC 170 seem to top out the highest at 50$US and 60$US, respectively, which is good news for those who had a hard time keeping up with all the SW sets this year. Both seem pretty high to me, though, given that the TIE Defender only has 300 pieces and the ARC 170 has 400 pieces (but this also seems in keeping with Lego's tendency to charge a lot more for the licensed sets).

Still curious to see the Prince of Persia sets, since I haven't seen any good pics of those ones yet.

@lego_here:
I agree. I, too, would like more of the original trilogy sets, though I'm not sure what they could do at this point that hasn't been done (except the Super Star Destroyer ;).

@catman 625- The TIE defender pilot and the AT-ST pilot in the snowtroopers battle pack have new helmets.

Freeco is small and over-priced but good.

Tie defender is BUTT-UGLY. Eew. They got the design right but it looks terrible in Lego form.

Star Wars sets look great. The Clone Pilots and new TIE Defender Pilots look great. Glad LEGO is picking some EU sets to make (maybe I'm wrong, but I've only heard of Defenders extensively in the X-wing book series). Of course, Amazon doesn't have any pics of the battle packs or Luke's Landspeeder yet. Noticed a pic on Brickshelf of a scan from the Star Wars Visual Dictionary that shows yet another version of the Hoth Rebel Trooper is on the way (uses the visor from 7749 but in a nicer way) and Zev Senesca, which looks AWESOME. Should be a good 2010 for Star Wars.

WOW!!! That new Tie Pilot looks astounding. I hope that the prices don't go so overboard as they have in recent years. I also love the new Clone Pilot helmets. LEGO is finally getting their minds set on what we want.
Wedge Antilles: The new rebel helmets are coming in the new 2010 battle packs.

Posted by iabstract in United States, Nov 18 2009 8:33PM:

I think the TIE Defender originated with the TIE Fighter PC game from the mid-90s, but I could be mistaken.

I wonder if (only guessing this since we have no pics of the battle packs yet) the Rebel Pilot, Zev Sanesca, will have a new design helmet or not, alongside the new Hoth Troopers? also, the Defender was originally from the TIE Fighter game, and is expanded largely on in the X-wing books.

YES! Finally there's a blue baseplate! And the Lego City Small car looks like a Smart.

YES! I can't wait to construct that Buzz! The head looks meh...but I can probably put the alien in its place. Anyways...watch out 2010! Buzz Lightyear, and his extra arm blasters! and maybe swords :P

Posted by clone commander trainrex in United States, Nov 20 2009 6:15AM:

@obiwanmc
THe arc comes with 2 episode 3 clone pilots(note: they look like they did in the movie, not how they did when first released.

Posted by merkinized75 in Croatia, Nov 20 2009 2:28PM:

@obiwanmc:
It's captain Jag and those aren't new helmets they are just rebel pilot helmets (I don't know, see it for yourself : http://www.flickr.com/photos/38704259@N04/4113057319 )and the orange glass is printed on the head.

Posted by thebrickdaddy in United States, Nov 20 2009 4:03PM:

Uhh, merkinized75, those actually are new hemets... They are the same PIECE but they have new printed patterns. :)

Arc-170 includes Kit Fisto, new Captain Jag, new Clone Pilot, and a new R44 astromech droid.

Posted by newlegoset333 in United States, Nov 20 2009 5:44PM:

Actually, I think they are new pieces all around. If you look, there is a bottom neck strap thing stuck to the old mold.

Posted by merkinized75 in Croatia, Nov 21 2009 5:08AM:

@thebrickdaddy & newlegoset333: I think they have combined the rebel pilot helmet and phase 2 trooper helmet (that's what it looks like to me)

Posted by commander_cody in Finland, Nov 21 2009 1:17PM:

I gotta get the ARC-170 Starfighter!! I mean, look at it!! And there's nothing wrong with the freeco speeder or the tri-fighter either. =D
