It looks like Amazon have 25% off nearly all their Lego at the moment, not just The Hobbit.

Thank you Huw! I've resisted the Middle-earth sets so far (aside from the free ones in The Sun) but crumbled in the face of the An Unexpected Gathering at 25% off . . . .

Definitely picking up the Mirkwood Spiders, Unexpected Gathering, and Attack of the Wargs! Cheers Huw! :)

I bought them last evening, the expected delivery date (for Belgium) is 20-24 december. It looks that you can only see the delivery date when you placed the order :P

Ordered Unexpected Gathering last night, I am very tempted to make a hole in Decembers Lego budget at these prices.

4 of the hobbit sets can be shipped to Canada too. I think it might be a decent deal, does anyone know what the Canadian MSRP is?

@meccanotwitch - glad to know I'm not the only person that has a monthly Lego budget... shame Christmas shopping is hitting it this month !!

I just ordered the unexpected gathering and it stated delivery is expected 27th December. Hopefully that's worse case scenario.

If that does turn out to be the case you can cancel preorders easily enough anyway.

Huw

Now there are 5 discounted hobbit sets:

Unexpected gathering
Attack of the wargs

Just ordered all five for a whopping £60 saving, I'm so glad I found brickset.

My LOTR obsessed son's Birthday is just before Christmas, so fingers crossed.

I received the 2012 Christmas Special Lego catalogue in the mail this morning and it contains the Hobbit sets. It confirms they are available to purchase on 1st December from Lego. Hopefully Amazon will ship these orders soon too.
