Hobbit sets in TRU, UKMike L sent me this photo of Hobbit sets on the shelves of his local TRU in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

It looks as if they are selling them at RRP, which makes a nice change, and given Amazon has put their prices up now makes them a reasonable buy if you need to have them now :-)

Let us know in the comments if they're on the shelves at your local branch.

Glad I knabbed Bag End while Amazon.co.uk had it for £45 last week. Although they're quoting a January delivery date, which is disappointing.

Posted by TimmyConstantine in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 09:30

Toys r us Croydon have them in stock

Posted by rnsrobot in Canada, 21 Nov 2012 10:38

Sets have just been posted on shop@home, at least in Canada, so I assume the other major markets. Available November 27.

Posted by tomtom27 in United States, 21 Nov 2012 10:42

If anyone on the east coast of the States sees these in stores, please post a comment and let us know!

just got bagend from my local branch in oxford :)

Posted by legodrew in Mexico, 21 Nov 2012 11:06

I got it from Liverpool (a departamental store) here in México, they have all the Hobbit sets out already

Posted by Darth Nader in United States, 21 Nov 2012 11:35

Well here in the U.S you can get the sets at K-Mart, which is kinda weird because I would figure that toys-r-us would have them

Posted by atxlee in United States, 21 Nov 2012 13:03

Here in Austin, you can find the sets in Walmart

Posted by Brickmeister1138 in United States, 21 Nov 2012 13:04

Here in West Virginia, I just got 4 of the sets at my Wal-Mart. I could not believe it at first, but I walked out with Gollum's Cave, Bag End, Mirkwood and the warg riders set. They were in an isolated display in the main isle, but they were there! No sign of the barrel escape or goblin king battle though...

I will be heading straight over to Brighton at the first opportunity, I have been salivating over these since they were first revealed!

Posted by goldfish in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 13:37

Yep, also at TRU in west mids. Lovely sets. Everybody should wait though, as they will be much cheaper in January.

Posted by matej123 in Slovenia, 21 Nov 2012 14:11

What about Europe? When do you think we will get the Hobbit sets?

Posted by Dashofdashing in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 14:31

I got my Riddles For The Ring set today from TRU. Tho people think that £45 is good from amazon.co.uk,but I got The Gathering set for £32 after promotions and using staff discount, what a bargain, you know working in a toy store does have it's perks :)

Posted by Snickers3112 in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 14:34

ah wow! will have to get down to the Southampton TRU.

as I have just come out of my dark era, and its said above we should wait until January, do TRU actualy do a good Jan sale then?

Posted by Dashofdashing in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 14:40

Not a chance of these going down at January as they sell well anyway. Best way to do it is to spend over £75 on Lego in Toys R Us and get a £20 gift coupon to be used between Boxing day until 16th January. Just in time for new Turtles,StarWars,Galaxy Squad,Super Hero sets, that's best deal on market at the moment. Be quick tho as sets like Barrel Escape is a TRU exclusive!

Posted by timmyt15 in United States, 21 Nov 2012 14:55

i cant wait for this to come out in the USA.
Hobbit is gonna be awesome and so is Galaxy Squad
Can not wait :)

Posted by Gandalf the brick in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 15:42

Ordered bag end on amazon for there £45 pre order price. Saves £15 so worth the wait. Amazon said it should come around December 21st? Usual time for anyone else?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 16:07

Yes my order says about the same. Can't understand why it will be then and not early in the month, though.

Posted by Gandalf the brick in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 16:51

Yeah very unusual. Weird that there in stock already in some stores, hopefully amazon will see this and post it early

Posted by jjb5000 in United Kingdom, 21 Nov 2012 16:54

The Solihull store has them all :-)

Just picked up a barrel escape with a £5 off voucher and a £39.99 credit note so a total bargain. Very nice looking sets, only disappointment is the riddles of the ring which is no way worth the £12.99 they are charging, glad I ordered one last week when amazon were doing their deal :-)

Posted by fuelbreak in Canada, 21 Nov 2012 19:35

They have also just appeared on my local toys r us shelf here in Canada. Very surprised considering Lego has not yet released them.

Posted by el_rey95 in United States, 22 Nov 2012 01:08

TRU in Onalaska, Wisconsin has the new Hobbit sets!

Posted by rnsrobot in Canada, 22 Nov 2012 02:12

Appeared in Edmonton, AB, TRU.

Posted by Leggo my LEGO in Canada, 22 Nov 2012 03:38

I saw some sets in a Toys R Us today (November 22), but im not really into the theme so I didn't pay much attention. They did seem to have a whole half-shelf dedicated to them though.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 22 Nov 2012 05:19

Just picked up 4 sets from TRU Portsmouth. No sign of the Goblin King Battle or Attack of the Wargs though.

Posted by obiron17 in United Kingdom, 22 Nov 2012 14:44

Just been to TRU in Oldbury, West mids, and they didn't have any sets out. When I asked a member if staff if they had in stock she said they weren't supposed to out yet and they hadn't had any delivered anyway......I think she was fibbing!

Posted by Ravenclaw in United Kingdom, 22 Nov 2012 16:17

They've apparently been sent out a memo today telling them to get the sets off the shelves quickly because they've put them out too early

Posted by obiron17 in United Kingdom, 22 Nov 2012 16:42

Is that the Brickset effect again ;)

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 22 Nov 2012 17:47

^ Could be!

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 22 Nov 2012 18:27

At least it's only for 10-12 days I'd believe

Posted by Dashofdashing in United Kingdom, 22 Nov 2012 19:11

All sets have indeed been pulled, due to off sale notice. This only happens with TRU with highest most sought after toys or new video game releases. As people could buy them before Lego site was quite comical. Not too long to wait until 1st December tho :)

Posted by yodalego in United Kingdom, 23 Nov 2012 08:28

Altrincham all gone off sale as well...damn i was just going to pick up a few sets as well...oh well, soon be 1st dec...

Posted by Brick Apostle in United Kingdom, 23 Nov 2012 12:52

TRU Hayes had all sets yesterday including Goblin King battle. As I have already ordered Goblin King Battle from Amazon at discount price of 59.99 albeit will only arrive late Dec I decided not to pick up at the full price but wait for it to arrive. I bought Barrel escape though and Bagend and received a £20 off future lego purchase voucher for buying more than £75 worth of lego!!! The voucher can be used from 26th Dec. Thanks Huw for the newsfeed.

Posted by obiron17 in United Kingdom, 23 Nov 2012 13:41

Went to Solihull store today and they've pulled theirs as well, I missed out again!

Posted by hi7478 in United States, 23 Nov 2012 16:02
