    As has been the case in previous years, UK shops, particularly Toys R Us, put out 2010 sets this weekend to fill gaps on the shelves made by pre-Christmas shoppers. Dr. S. found this fire helicopter in Basingstoke TRU and Dermott has found Atlantis and Toy Story in his local branch. So keep an eye out and let us know what you find.

    I believe the official release date, the date they will appear in LEGO shops and probably also legoshop.com, is 4th January, which is a bit of a nuisance because VAT is due to go up to 17.5% again on the 1st...

Many of the 2010 sets are appearing in Canada, yet not all, I can't wait for the rest of the atlantis to appear here, as for me the sets look great.

a ton of 2010 sets are here in the US at toys r us. star wars, city, toy story and tons of others. the city is even the sea plane which i thought was later. toysrus has all the city and the arc-170 is way cool! and toy story is funny.

Saw all the new City Fire sets in TRU in Switzerland, but that was it. The sales lady indicated that more new sets are coming next week to fill the gaps, but no SW sets. Although she did let me take a peek in their LEGO catalogue, I saw nothing that's not already known (only had about 30 seconds to look...), except did enjoy the clear pictures.

I love the fact that the set comes with TWO Fabuland axes. But the half-sphere that the helicopter carries with chains -- is that a totally new piece? Anyone know if it's been used before?

Visiting my local TRUS yesterday I found all the Ben 10 Sets, as well as all the Toy Story sets out on display. There were also many of the small impulse town sets, as well as the sea plane and the fire sets.

This helicopter is nice, but I do not like the front one-piece-construction. It does not look like "LEGO" .
Seems like the the tail is a one-piece-contstruction too

@ fonix,, i agree, i have like 8 hellicopters, looks not a bit lke legos, it seems to be the way things are going, look at the car, they get more realistic looking each serries, i guess its a reason to buy the newest ones,,

Picked up some new 2010 Toys Story sets and Star Wars at Target in Boise, Idaho today! Favorites so far are the Toy Story Army Men. Also at the Toys R Us.

German TRU only had Fire Station, Fire Truck with Boat, and Fire Ship. Fire Helicopter is announced for March as limited set.
I really dreamt of some Toy Story Sets on the shelves. Would have been a perfect christmas to me to put them under the tree. :-/
