Advent day 13

Advent day 13Today we have a desk, complete with PC and mug, and chair for the fire station. I hope it doesn't imply that yesterday's female firefighter is just doing a desk job!

Advent day 13In the Friends calendar we have a bowl of water and a stool for our pooch.

Advent day 13BrickLink categorises this 'Gonk Droid' as a minifig. I'm not sure I agree, and I'm not sure he looks very much like the Gonk Droid at Wookiepedia either...

City -- 7, not too bad, useful printed computer pieces.
Friends -- 6, not much to it today.
Star Wars -- 6, a cute little fellow.

From tomorrow, bluemoose will be guiding you through the calendars and I'm sure he'll add a fresh perspective to them.

The Desk shall be a useful addition due to the 'neat' parts included e.g. computer, chair, cup etc.
The Gonk Droid could be used as a background character for Mocs, but no unique parts...
I guess the Friends bowl could be interesting, in some way??

Love the Print for the computer screen; can't tell but is Lego promoting Windows or Mac??

@shaase it looks like Windows.
I think the Gink Droid is really cute and I want one, but I don't think it would be difficult to make one. I think that's why it was given a 6, because it has really boring pieces.

The printed keyboard 2x1 panel is outstanding. The printed 'monitor' is terrific too. I stuck the dude fireman on it. The female firefighter gets the ATV. ^^

I feel as if it would've been better to include the actual Gonk droid, instead of a brick-built one...

^Agreed, at least with some printing. But the brick-built one is not bad, a reasonable addition to the calendar I suppose.

Already found a use for the desk. It's going into one of my modular buildings.

I have to say, the friends score is too high for today and the star wars score too low. That stool/bowl is just...meh, but despite the fact that they're mostly simple pieces, I think this Gonk Droid works really well.

I'm glad I got another stool in my Friends calendar today. My kitten decided to eat one of the yellow nose cones from the first one, and there's no way I'm trying to find that one again!

Gonk Droid a Mini-Fig? Looks more like a Mini-Fridge to me. LOL Seriously though I would not count anything built out of bricks as a Mini-Fig unless it at least looked decent and, while it does resemble the Gonk Droid I much prefer the one available in actual sets.

What's with the weird pattern over the left side of the monitor?
It looks like a misprint, but it's on Huw's part and just visible on the image inside the door.

^^The Gonk droid immediately reminded me of the skiing fridge (or was it a cooker) from the Wallace and Gromit cartoons!
^I think it's supposed to be a Windows-style desktop background thingy.
