After having been listed as "sold out" during the holiday period, the Winter Toy Shop is again available, but is on back-order until 05 February 2010. This is good news for all those who missed out on this set - including me!

Note: At this time, the Winter Toy Shop is only available to Shop-At-Home customers in Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

Good news indeed. This is an excellent set with lots of neat design features and a real pleasure to build. Anyone who doesn't already have it should snap one up now before it's gone forever.

Agreed, it's a great set. Now they need to do a Halloween one.

Posted by luvendraw in United States, 05 Jan 2010 17:43

Yeah a haunted house would be cool, but they also should just make plain houses to add to your city layout

Wack - I bought it overpriced at Ebay because I was told at Legoshop, that it was not likely to come back.

$%&!""§-stock-buyers! Wish you keep a lot of unsold ones forever!

This set is a beauty of a set and an awesome example of the great products that LEGO direct is selling. This set is a must buy, I agree. It would be a shame to miss out on this set if you are thinking about buying it. Buy it if you can afford to and be happy that you didn't miss out on such a great set.

Love this set and happy to have had it for the Holidays. I second the request for a Halloween one.

luvendraw: The Creator house sets are mini-fig scale and look great in any city layout. IMHO.

AlterBrick: I feel your pain. That is hard to take!

This needs to become available in the U.S.!!!

I have to agree with all above, it is an amazing set. I was lucky enough to get it before christmas and spent time making a diarama with my eight year old son...having the city advent calendar we just kept adding on to it until christmas. Great way of keeping the family active together and a set that will bring memories for years to come!

Estou triste porque a Lego Shop não envia seus produtos para o Brasil.

These were for sale at the S@H stores except USA.

I ordered one yesterday! Now they are on backorder.

I received a response from S@H about US availability. If you're a US buyer, please write or call with your request! Let them know how much we'd love to have this set back in stock!

"The Winter Toy Shop, as you know, has been discontinued from our current product line and we do not expect to receive additional inventory at this time. Each year, several items are discontinued and new ones added. By doing this, we provide a product line with more variety and continuing challenges to our LEGO builders. And you never know favorite themes from the past may emerge again with a slightly different look!"

I missed out at Chrimbo, just seen it in the new catalogue delivered yesterday, bit tight as it is another 5GBP extra @ 44.99 now instead of 39.99 before xmas. WHY WHY WHY????????? :P

Posted by aplbomr79 in United States, 07 Jan 2010 22:08

When will it become available for the US?

Posted by jeffreyjrose in United States, 09 Jan 2010 00:56

@ cheeseslope - I got the same response from LEGO USA.

@ aplbomr79 - Email or call LEGO customer service to let your voice be heard! If enough of us request the set, maybe they'll restock here in the U.S.!!!

Lego, Please make this set available in the U.S. I foolishly missed my chance to buy this set thinking it would be available longer.

Really sit set is not that hard to build. Well that is if you have the correct bricks. I can only think of a couple of peices that are not available in other sets at this time.

I think the best part of any set is to try and build it with the bricks you have. If you need other bricks go to Lego.com or bricklink to get them.

It is as simple as that.
