Advent day 23

Advent day 23In the City calendar, we have some presents to add to yesterday's sleigh. Not much more to say about them, to be honest...

Advent day 23In the Friends calendar, we also have a present, but at least this one is a bit more interesting, being sloped and medium blue.

Advent day 23And in the Star Wars calendar, we have the first of our unique 'minifigures', Snowman R2-D2.

City -- 7, slightly boring but a good addition to the yesterday's sledge.
Friends -- 7, a new slant on the traditional LEGO present :-)
Star Wars -- 10, what we all bought the calendar for, right?

So thank goodness tomorrow is the last day of the calendars. I'm running out of interesting things to say about them!

Ah, yeah; that snowman R2-D2 figure is great.

I absolutely love the Snowman R2-D2, it is everything I had hoped for and actually translates very well indeed into this snow format I think! I particularly like the use of carrots for some of the detail on his body and the hat looks brilliant.

Nice touch with the carrots. This would have been the reason to get this calendar.

the city calender looks alright, presents are good for the trailer. The same goes for the friends one except a little better with the letter on top. As for the star wars, it couldn't be any better! the snowman R2-D2 looks amazing with the carrots, and coal (i think its coal) eye, he has made the lesser models completely worth it.

The Snowman R2-D2 is excellent. It deserves an 11 out of 10. Most creative object to come from the Star Wars Advent Calender.

Star Wars has been decent with some days better than others, but wow are they coming through in the end. The snowman astromech droid is great. It would have been good without the hat or the base, but those are going to make it a permanent addition to my Winter Village after this year. Just fantastic.

The R2-D2 is cute. I'm not thrilled by the presents in the City calendar.

Nice day I say. The presents are nice, instead of non Christmasy fire fighting equipment lol.
R2-D2 snow"droid" is adorable :D

I can't honestly say I can see how the City and Friends builds got the same score, especially since you seem to be saying more positive things about the Friends build in both the blurb and the score, Huw.

I just relaized, how do we know that this is r2-d2? he isn't blue and there are no other specific characteristics to tell. He could be any r unit. Now I don't know where to put it on my shelf as far as aplabetical order goes :-)
