cool!!!
I want the clown, astronaut and the crash testung one...

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, Jan 22 2010 3:48PM:

It's sucks we can't just buy what we want because these are simply amazing and I don't have the money for them.

Posted by Cactus in Israel, Jan 22 2010 4:00PM:

but they want you to -combine- the minifigtures. like astronaut hair, zomby head, magican torso and crash testing pupet legs...

and they want you to buy more.

No, they do NOT want you to combine them. They will be sold as complete minifigs, you just don't know which one you're getting when you buy the package. This is simple logic - all of them have different numbers of pieces, they couldn't successfully randomize it.

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, Jan 22 2010 4:05PM:

Yeah look at the packaging I think that confirms that they are 16 minifigures and not just minifigure parts.

I really want that trumpet, that is so awesome, I think that alone makes the clown one of the best, if not the best.

Posted by BionicleBOOM in United States, Jan 22 2010 4:10PM:

They're really neat! The spaceman gun is new I think, as well as the cheerleader pompoms, the doctor's syringe, and the robot.

Posted by krysto2002 in United States, Jan 22 2010 4:12PM:

Let's just hope they're widely available, because before you know it, they'll be sold out. Also, if they aren't easy to find (ie. at Lego stores only) the price will fly up. This could easily turn from a collector's dream to his nightmare. Who knows, they might even cost an arm and a leg to... (maybe $3.00+ apiece, since that;s the average minifig's cost...)

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, Jan 22 2010 4:20PM:

I have to be honest here. I'm probably just going to buy the whole darn yellow box. :o)

Do we know if these will be limited to Lego Stores? It's my understanding that wave 1 is expected in June only to be replaced by wave 2 in August...anyone have any rock solid details?

Additionally, I've read that the expected price point will be close to but less than an impulse set, which I think would be perfect.

Between these, the modular shop, the pig farm, the limousine/helicopter, the imperial flagship, the snowtrooper battlepack, toy story army men, etc.....2010 is looking fantastic. :o)

the Magician is way my favorite!

Posted by miniman30 in United Kingdom, Jan 22 2010 5:08PM:

These are great! I want the magician, zombie, clown, robot and astronaut!

Posted by Hamish100 in United Kingdom, Jan 22 2010 5:16PM:

They all look great, but I can't decide on a favourite. I guess if you have two the same then that's great if their good ones, and then you can ebay them

Posted by Shijima in Canada, Jan 22 2010 5:17PM:

Im with you yellowcastle, Ill probably just take the whole thing if I ever see one, but, like Kristo said, these could still be a pain to collect all of them if lego pulls a stunt like making one mini super rare and others extremely common.

Posted by michaelvader in United States, Jan 22 2010 5:19PM:

oh yeah! (Grin)

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, Jan 22 2010 5:28PM:

While I certainly had my favorites, I'd probably be a little bummed if I bought a whole box of cheerleaders. Now cavemen, robin hoods, gunslingers, etc....I might be able to live with that. :o)

On a related note, it looks like the castle and pirate battlepacks are now all gone. Let me be the first to lament their passing. While the trolls were just so-so, the skeletons, knights, and dwarves were pretty freakin cool. And though you only got 4 pirates, there was also a monkey and a parrot! But like most Legos, you only start regretting not getting a set the moment it's no longer available. :o)

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, Jan 22 2010 5:28PM:

I'll just order, like, 100 from legoshop.com, that should guarantee a full set :-)

Posted by (-)-Crushmaster-(-) in United States, Jan 22 2010 5:33PM:

That sounds reasonable. It'd be interesting to buy sixteen packs, and see how many of the collection you got.
God bless,
Crushmaster.

These look great! I have always wanted a Robin Hood-type forestman, a ninja, and a Native American figure, while the robot, zombie, magician, and the rest all look great! I counted what I believe to be the number of pieces for each, though, and a lot of them have about six or seven parts, so one probably will not be able to tell by the piece count which one is which. Thanks so much for posting these! I hope to obtain at least half of them, if not all....

Posted by vezon8764 in United States, Jan 22 2010 6:09PM:

I like the ninja, the robot, and the superhero

Posted by brccoins in United States, Jan 22 2010 6:28PM:

These may just bankrupt me. Just imagine what might be included in wave 2!!!

Anyone else nervous that these will end up being the cheap Chinese quality? I hope I'm wrong...

Are these beauties going to be added to brickset?

Posted by LEGOwikiguy in United States, Jan 22 2010 8:06PM:

These are gonna be good ones! LEGO will definetely be successful with this one. I like the cheerleader... :P

Posted by xarquar in United States, Jan 22 2010 8:09PM:

Huw- Random tidbit I found in my probability textbook: rounding up, you can expect to buy 11 to get the first half of the set. From there you should expect to buy about 44 more to get the final 8. That puts you at needing to purchase 55 (on average) to get the full set.

As for me, I like the clown, robot, zombie, and wrestler.

Posted by southpaw in United States, Jan 22 2010 8:16PM:

Wait, so are these out yet? Why would lego post these pictures if they don't come out untill the summer?!

Posted by starwarsgeek101 in United States, Jan 22 2010 9:54PM:

Wow, LEGO sure has thought out something unique! Very smart idea from LEGO.

Posted by GameOn99 in United States, Jan 22 2010 10:07PM:

They are coming in august southpaw.

Thay have already been confirmed for being random parts. and they can do that, torso, accesory, head, top/hair, legs. not all have to be exactly the same. you can probobly get them as complete minifigs that you know what they are after the random bags are replaced with series two. think about that.

Posted by agent chase in United States, Jan 22 2010 10:14PM:

Gameon99, actually most are sure that each contain one of the same minifigure, there are to many different amounts of pieces to randomize it successfully.

Posted by legomaniac in United States, Jan 22 2010 11:41PM:

I would just buy the whole box, and my luck i might get 1 of the same kind. But its LEGO minifigures, no matter who you get its always fun :)

Posted by knuclear200x in United States, Jan 23 2010 12:31AM:

I want ALL of these!!! It's also good to know these figures aren't part of a line, so you could just let your imagination take control of the non-labeled/branded situation :D

Posted by GameOn99 in United States, Jan 23 2010 12:56AM:

agent chase: well then i guess that means that you could just feel the bags and then get them all while only spending $56.00+tax.(usd)

I sure hope that is the case.

Posted by jonrossi in United Kingdom, Jan 23 2010 6:23AM:

i think the robin hood fig has a new face print from the first pics we saw a few months ago

Posted by laurenmoore1000 in United Kingdom, Jan 23 2010 9:37AM:

Bad news! (well i think it is)! There is some talk going on that they will not be sold as complete figures, but as mixed parts. This cud get extremely frustrating as if they were being sold as whole figures n you got duplicates, you could easily eBay them. But now that won't work, unless you know anyone who wud buy a zombie with clowns hair wearing a robot suit with caveman legs and holding a syringe and a magic wand! But i think i will still persist in buying them all even if they get sold in random groups! Especially if they are going for £2-3. Hey, does anyone else think you might be able to feel what pieces are there through the bag? That could help alot! Can't wait for June! Must have them all!

Posted by Andrew85 in United Kingdom, Jan 23 2010 10:14AM:

Interesting to know where they would sell these, toys r us' perhaps as there are very few LEGO stores esp in UK. I like the Caveman and robot the most but I think the Crash Dummy and wrestler are cool too, bit underrated, don't hear many people say they want them. But I do! Gimme gimme gimme!

Posted by Camo Hat in United States, Jan 23 2010 11:32AM:

the caveman looks amazing but whats that thing next to the magician who by the way also looks amazing.

i've calculated that each minifig has on average 5.5625 pieces so it would be hard to randomize the minifigs and put them in different packs. plus in the yellow box there are sixteen yellow packages. the box says that all the minifigs are there so this would mean that either the entire minifig is in a bag or in each yellow box in every store there would be something with caveman hair, chearleader face, magician body, zombie legs, and clown accessories. either way though if you buy the entire yellow box you get all of the minifigs.

Posted by atkinsar in Hong Kong, Jan 23 2010 1:18PM:

This is an absolute marketing masterstroke from LEGO, they have recognised the market for minifigs (just look at the sheer amount available on ebay). They will clean up with this line, and I really wouldn't be surprised if they make certain minfigs rarer than others, we may not like it as customers but it'll mean more money for LEGO in the long run. I can easily see people using ebay and Bricklink to complete their collection.

Posted by lego_here in United Kingdom, Jan 23 2010 3:43PM:

Where can you get these? Also its going to cost you a bit of money if they are 3 pounds per fig(what i heard) raising the total cost to 48 pounds if you are lucky to get them at retail price. But knowing that it will be limited stock and a high price its gonna be even more expensive on ebay.

Posted by lego_here in United Kingdom, Jan 23 2010 4:02PM:

woah- they all look really cool

Posted by vexorian in Bolivia, Jan 23 2010 5:53PM:

Here's me hoping the packages come with complete minifigs and they do not contain bad plastic from China.

Posted by copperwonder96 in United States, Jan 24 2010 4:33AM:

I really don't think there is much to worry about on availability. Lego will likely market these in every major store like a pack of gum at the check out line. Since Minfig torsos and Faces are expensive to make and price point on these are below $4.00, Lego will likely shoot for high volume world wide to get the economy of scale. Oh, and don't expect Lego.com to let you buy more than 5 per checkout.

Posted by bajadogq in United States, Jan 24 2010 2:32PM:

18000pieces is right. Selling mixed minifig parts wouldn't work, because some of the minifigures have one accessory (caveman, clown) while others have two (zombie, crash dummy).

Posted by carding in United Kingdom, Jan 24 2010 3:45PM:

@Huw 100 should guarantee more than a full set and with spares. this will be really good to make looking at the lego in supermarkets more intersting I hope. I really want them all!!?!

Posted by d00dz in Australia, Jan 24 2010 5:41PM:

Do you think S@H will have these?

I wanna buy 200 of them :D
