The Argos Spring-Summer catalogue released at the end of January often includes previously unavailable sets and this year is no exception: in it you'll find the pig farm and the four new Games as well as a range of four plush minifigs that I haven't seen before. You can check out the LEGO selection online.

Wow, cool. I want those little pigs.

Posted by legowomen1980p in United States, 23 Jan 2010 11:24

how much will that be in USD?

Posted by LEGOwikiguy in United States, 23 Jan 2010 11:24

All these look good. LEGO is having a rough time this year, but not everything is bad (At least Ben 10 will be done this year, at least it looks like...)

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 23 Jan 2010 13:14

@LEGOwikiguy - why do you say "LEGO is having a rough time this year"? Profits up 30% in 2009 and January 2010 is but 23 days old, considering the economy, LEGO is having anything but a rough time. Unless you just mean you don't like the new themes this year...

I MUST get the pig set!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by C-Fish in United States, 23 Jan 2010 14:22

Are these the first LEGO pigs ever?

Posted by Targellian in United Kingdom, 23 Jan 2010 14:45

Demand for Lego in the UK actually outstripped retail supply in quite a lot of areas this past Christmas. What with Woolworths, who used to account for roughly 20% of seasonal retail sales, no longer being around.

Not so keen on the plushies... but those pigs look like they'll sell faster than bacon sarnies ;o)

Thanks for the heads up Huw, have reserved the only pig farm in my local argos, will go and collect it tomorrow. Lets just hope they did not up the price too much.

Posted by capnrex in United Kingdom, 23 Jan 2010 16:12

@Keithkram - No need to worry, it is only £24.99! (And looks great)

Is anyone else surprised that the Freeco Speeder isn't in there, I have it, and it is available in many other stores, but I just thought it was a bit weird!?

Those Lego Plushes were available last year in Kmart in Australia. They were $A 25 or so. The arms can move like lego arms and the hats are interchangable.

Hmm, only two of the new Technic sets? Suprising, thought 8048 and 8049 would be available...

Posted by OuterRimTradingCo. in Australia, 23 Jan 2010 21:39

Wow, that Argos website is poorly designed... Huw, you spoil us! :) And I'll agree with knightsap, they are the same plushies that K-Mart Australia had/has... I've got a couple myself so it must be tme to add them to BrickSet so I can update my collection! :)

post pics!

@Akinstar: I just mean stuff like Ben 10, Toy Story (Mostly), Cars, and other themes like that. I don't mean they are bad this year, just this winter/January seems to have some rough theme patches. This is all in my opinion

I love that since BrickForge was so popular with their animals (They make the animals right?) that LEGO seems to be following with cows, pigs, camels, and orchids, now we only need Sheep and LEGO City Zoo and I will be so happy. :)

In the Argos catologue it has LEGO Harry Potter game on DS, Wii, PSP, PS3 and XBOX 360. It says it's to be released in May

Posted by LEGOwikiguy in United States, 25 Jan 2010 20:07

@BrickBob09: Heard in Gameinformer it was to be released in Febuary or March...*sigh, yet another delayed video game.

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 26 Jan 2010 01:06

It's release depends on where you live.

Posted by LEGOwikiguy in United States, 26 Jan 2010 08:21

Ah, that makes more sense. :P
