Grand Emporium now listed at LEGOshop.com

    10211: Grand Emporium
    More details...

The next modular building, 10211 Grand Emporium, is now listed at LEGOShop.com, and will be shipping at the end of February in North America and Europe.

Here are quick links to the shop: USA icon| UK

I was anticipating that LEGO would 'big-up' its launch because, you may remember, they asked me to remove the images we posted at the beginning of January so as not to spoil the surprise. I guess that given none of the other fan sites pulled the images, they decided not to bother.

Update 6th Feb: For some reason the set has been removed entirely from LEGOshop.com: the links above lead nowhere now. All very strange, particularly given it's already for sale in UK brand stores.

I have built this for work. Its a masterpiece. Goes really well with the rest of the sets. Can't wait for the next one!!!!
Hopefully a pub or bank! *Fingers crossed.*

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 5:07AM:

What date will the shop be selling it, Pumpkin?

Posted by d00dz in Australia, Feb 2 2010 5:57AM:

26th Feb or 20th Feb for USA

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 6:16AM:

Pumpkin works in a LEGO brand store (so says his profile!) so I wondered when it would be selling it.

Posted by Pumpkin Jack in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 6:16AM:

When we get it in. So last week in Feb/first week in March.

Posted by HQuiff in Ireland, Feb 2 2010 8:00AM:

Thanks, Pumpkin Jack! Also, this looks amazing. Any news on the official pricing?

Posted by ChefAgf in Netherlands, Feb 2 2010 8:50AM:

Nice looks amazing indeed. Check out the new photo's on the lego site :D

I buy it for sure... cant miss this one..

Posted by bigz123 in United States, Feb 2 2010 9:11AM:

This will make a fine addition to ny collection. :)

Posted by Pumpkin Jack in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 9:34AM:

Nothing official but it looks like to be £99.99 in the UK. There will be ones on display in all 3 stores leading up to release date. So if you want a look, pop in.

Posted by Alemas in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 10:11AM:

@Pumpkin Jack: Well, HQuiff lives in Ireland, which is quite a few miles from England! :) BTW, this model looks GREEEEEEAAAAT!

Posted by Unknown User2596 in United States, Feb 2 2010 10:42AM:

Strange......when I saw this yesterday the release date was February 20th.

I wonder why they pushed it (the release date) back further?

Posted by Denver_80203 in United States, Feb 2 2010 1:27PM:

Never noticed the billboard on top board. Are those new parts holding the flood lights up there?

Posted by Hamish100 in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 2:04PM:

I don't under stand. Fire brigade was set in the 30's, but this looks really modern with the scooter, escalator and bill board

Posted by knuclear200x in United States, Feb 2 2010 2:07PM:

Sometimes I wish Lego would release sets seperately to make a single Final set. Knowing i have to spend 100 bucks on a single purchase is scary sometimes.

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 2:57PM:

The Grand Emporium was delivered earlier than expected ... today in fact & has gone out on the shelf at the Milton Keynes store :-)

Posted by agent chase in United States, Feb 2 2010 3:50PM:

@ Hamish 100, The fire station is one of those city buildings that are historic and was built in the 30's I think.

@ Bluemoose, Do you mean on the shelf as in displayed, or on sale?

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 4:26PM:

on sale. to buy. and take home. and build :-)

Posted by darthdc in United Kingdom, Feb 2 2010 4:32PM:

Very nice, one to get. Still after the fire station too. But as already said, £100 a time is a lot.

Posted by michaelvader in United States, Feb 2 2010 4:45PM:

This is a BIG must get!

Posted by kevin30 in United States, Feb 2 2010 6:40PM:

It looks really nice, If I had a ton of money, I'd get all the modular building, I think lego does a really good job on them.

Oh my gosh! what a cool looking set! The intricate details show LEGO really paid attention to it when they made it! I'd like to expect more of these from LEGO first the Death Star and now this? LEGO is really stepping it up. Take that Mega Blocks! (I dont hate them though) I really like the cool billboard!

Posted by Tommyo3000 in United States, Feb 2 2010 10:07PM:

Oh wow this set is spectacular! I will have to start saving up money to buy it. :)

Posted by carding in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 10:05AM:

cool!!?!

Posted by GameOn99 in United States, Feb 3 2010 10:21AM:

Hamish100: The fire brigade set was that the building looked like it was made in the 1930's as well as the engine but itwould still be around today and the Grand Emporium is more modern. It is not like the Queen's palace or The White House are torndown to be remade, right?

I wonder what is on the third floor? the only one we have not seen. I want to know how to build that chandelier.

Posted by Pumpkin Jack in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 10:31AM:

There is a bird house, scooter and Balls on the 3rd floor.

Posted by virtuoso_pianist in United States, Feb 3 2010 10:32AM:

I'm still seeing Grand Emporium in lego.com and release date has been moved yet again. February 17th this time. 2 weeks!

Posted by mrdoofa in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 12:14PM:

I've just checked lego.com and the date has moved again to the 26th Feb now! Bluemoose mentioned that it was available on the shelves at Milton keynes lego store, I wondered if anyone knows if the Bluewater centre has them in yet? I need this set in my life ASAP!

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 12:58PM:

All the UK stores are supplied by the same route; give Bluewater a ring to check first, but I'd expect them & Brighton to have it (if they haven't sold out already) -

Bluewater Lego Store - 01322 427272
Brighton Lego Store - 01273 772670
Milton Keynes Lego Store - 01908 234960

Thanks for all your help guys. I get it now.

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 2:59PM:

huw or bluemoose i was wondering how much it would be because i might get it for my birthday!!!

Posted by mstari in United States, Feb 3 2010 3:49PM:

Are there any pictures showing it next to the other modular buildings?

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 4:13PM:

I haven't seen it myself, but I've been told it's £140UK.

Posted by nath8888 in United States, Feb 3 2010 4:51PM:

The US is still up.

Posted by Pulpdiction in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 5:47PM:

£140!!!!!

That's a 40% premium over the price of the Firestation and green grocer.

Posted by mrdoofa in United Kingdom, Feb 3 2010 6:34PM:

Cheers bluemoose, I will call before I go because its a 300 mile round trip for me to go the lego store or perhaps I should just be patient and wait for it to arrive at lego.com. Has anybody seen any pics of the upper floors?

Posted by GameOn99 in United States, Feb 3 2010 11:09PM:

I had a choice on what to save up for, this or split the cost of an Ipad, I chose this, much cooler.

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, Feb 4 2010 10:59AM:

ok thanks 4 ur help bluemoose

Posted by Pumpkin Jack in United Kingdom, Feb 5 2010 9:01AM:

Confirmed! Milton Keynes has them on sale now. At £139.99. And there are a couple left

Posted by keithkram in United Kingdom, Feb 5 2010 6:01PM:

Why has it been removed from lego web site in UK

Posted by Alemas in United Kingdom, Feb 5 2010 6:45PM:

@Pumpkin: Woah, £140??? It actually sounds cheap for what you get...

Posted by newlegoset333 in United States, Feb 6 2010 12:49PM:

It's gone from S@H. Lego keeps underproducing their exclusives. They've been going on backorder, and now they're so behind it seems they had to re-hide it!

Posted by Zacherano in United States, Feb 6 2010 6:36PM:

This set looks amazing! I loved the detail on all the others, but this one is something else! It has so many details, so I can't resist buying this, to add along to my Medieval Village, Death Star, Green Grocer, Fire Brigade, etc! I can't wait in the U.S.! There are not any Lego stores nearby me though, so I have to wait for S@H....

Posted by fseyyad in United Kingdom, Feb 7 2010 10:04AM:

I got one from Bluewater this morning. They have plenty of stock in their storeroom but are not at all sure whether they should be selling or not before the end of the month. I phoned them earlier to ask whether they had any in stock at which point they consulted with Lego MK and then agreed to sell. Later at the shop they said they are not allowed to sell and Lego MK were in some kind of trouble, but I could have one since that it is what they told me on the phone!

Posted by mrdoofa in United Kingdom, Feb 7 2010 6:52PM:

I was going to drive to Bluewater to pick one up but if they have been stopped from selling them until the end of the month I'll have to wait! How frustrating knowing they are there for the taking but I can't have one yet!

Posted by GameOn99 in United States, Feb 8 2010 1:12AM:

That's it, I'm going to rob one of these stores, no more waiting and dangling them in our faces, who's in?

JK, i'm a cool guy, no stealing for me. Are the instructions up yet?

Posted by sidneyleejohnson in United States, Feb 8 2010 2:37PM:

Whomever bought one in the UK should throw it onto Ebay and watch the ravenous mania insue... 10x initial investment return?

Posted by LuvKernow in United Kingdom, Feb 8 2010 2:47PM:

Love this, as I do the rest of the CC-standard stuff, but the £40 hike has left a very bad taste in my mouth...

Posted by Superbrick555 in United States, Feb 8 2010 3:53PM:

looks awesome

Posted by kindershop in Switzerland, Feb 9 2010 4:59PM:

Cool endlich mal eine tolle Seite über lego

Posted by mrdoofa in United Kingdom, Feb 9 2010 7:29PM:

The quick links above now take you to the set on shop @home but it is showing up as unavailable sadly, still, at least it's back on the site so hopefully those magical words "Available now" will appear soon! I am checking everyday. I am also keeping an eye open for the instructions appearing online because if I remember correctly the instructions for the Fire brigade appeared before the set was actually available. I was going to order 10210 Imperial flagship at the same time but that is now on back order until April! Does anyone know if either the Milton Keynes or Bluewater lego shops have this in stock? Apologies for drifting slightly off topic.

Posted by GameOn99 in United States, Feb 10 2010 9:36PM:

It is back on lego shop

Posted by Pumpkin Jack in United Kingdom, Feb 11 2010 9:20AM:

MK has loads of 10210 Imperial flagship in stock.
