    You may recall that back in October we told you about the LEGO Technic building competition to design a special top for the 9398 4 x 4 Crawler.

    The competition has ended, and you are invited to now cast your vote. Over 100 designs have been whittled down to the top 10, which you can see, and vote for, here. Voting ends on the 22nd. January.

    Jan from the community team says "So far more than 1000 people have already voted in the contest. The more votes we get in there, the better the chances are that we can do something like this again."

I'm confused as to why everyone is voting for the truck that basically looks exactly like the 4x4 Crawler.

Don't we want something a little different...? unique...?

Most of them are much like original version, aren't they, just in different colours. I voted for http://technic.us.lego.com/en-us/Creations/Details/Default.aspx?tv=1&projectid=55c0d1ff-164f-45c0-acd3-ee505589245b which I felt was the most original and awesome looking, from the angle it's been pictured at.

When the details of the competition were finally revealed, you just knew the results were going to be 100 variations on the Hummer theme. Too little scope in the rules for much creativity. I'd like to have seen something more along the lines of "Using ONLY what's available in the set, build something unique, and we'll promote it as the C model".

The ATV is the best IMO. Most unique and you could make a big LEGO bionicle action figure to go on it :D

Is it just me or are they all just a crawler chassie with a new look? not very origonal from all the designs. wont be buying any of them.

I voted for the greensand white one it was the in my opinion
Oh and I think it would be cool if once a year the Lego co. Would have somthing where you pick your favorite sey that is dicontinued and the set with the most votes would be 'remade'

@HUW, agreed! That's the one I voted for. I wouldn't mind seeing a Hummer Technic set.

Voted for the Boss muscle car. Most others are nothing but just another Technic SUV, bulky and top-heavy. ATV is original, but strange as a crawler. I don't remember there ever being an actual muscle coupe released as an official set. Even if it's a crawler. Headlights and hood could use a little work, but overall it looks great! Nice use of panels for the rear quarter area. I'm seeing it in white, blue or lime green, with racing stripes.
