For most of the community, this is old news, however for us Canadians, series 9 minifigures are just starting to appear in stores.

I was able to pick up a case at my local Toys R Us here in Western Canada. Have you found them in your local Canadian stores? Please let us all know if you have spotted them as well.

It's a great set of figures but as stated before, I was only able to get two complete sets from a case, which is a disappointment.

I'm sorry, I can't help it but it's bugging me: accross --> across :-)

I saw some at Indigo downtown in Montreal.

Posted by Jdawg26 in Canada, 19 Jan 2013 19:27

We have had them in London, Ontario at Mastermind since Jan. 2nd. I split a box with two other AFOLs and we picked up the extras needed to complete all three sets. Lets hope Lego goes back to 3 sets a box for series 10.

got all but two (chicken suit guy & Hollywood starlet) at TRU today

Posted by Ben J in Germany, 19 Jan 2013 19:57

The boxes in Germany are smaller than they used to be (2 rows of packets instead of 3).

Is this the case for the rest of the world as well?

Posted by fuelbreak in Canada, 19 Jan 2013 20:31

@ LostInTranslation, perhaps just edit the mistake rather then posting about it.

@ Ben J here in Canada there are still 3 rows.

Wait, did I miss something? Are they already out in the U.S.?

Posted by TheMinifigFreak in United States, 19 Jan 2013 21:14

@ Carnigee77, I just picked mine up the other day, so yeah they're out now.

I haven't found any yet in stores on north vancouver island. The oakridge mall lego store in the lower mainland had sold out completely before I got there. Most stores seem to haven't had a turnover in stock and are mostly filled with series 7 minifigs.

Posted by LEGOManiac1 in Canada, 19 Jan 2013 22:25

I got them from the LEGO store in Calgary a little while before christmas.

Posted by johnbrickford20 in Canada, 19 Jan 2013 23:05

The Oakridge mall LEGO store in Vancouver BC had them before Christmas (December 21 2012) but sold out really fast.

Just yesterday I was there and they had them, I was able to buy the Marilyn Monroe figure and the mermaid figure.

They had a good supply, but I am sure they'll sell out fast.

@johnbrickford20, LEGOmaniac1, Yeah, same with the Fairview LEGO store here in Toronto, all sold out before Christmas apparently. I went on Friday and they had tons in stock again though, got the Fortune-teller Lady and Chicken suit guy.

Picked up a few today, just one box left at my local TRU. I got the waiter, Mr. Hyde and the celtic warrior lady, so pretty good start.

metrotown TRU, near vancouver i saw 1 box full of them but didnt buy any... cus i was buying the hoth echo base 50% off!!!!!

Posted by TH3_L3G0_G3N1U5 in Canada, 20 Jan 2013 03:15

Apparently they are also in Winnipeg, as stated by our LUG. And TRU I do believe.

Posted by kartoffelviking in Australia, 20 Jan 2013 04:22

It's a shame LEGO seems to not have changed the distribution to include at least 3 of each minifig per box; that's what stopping me from buying a whole box this time around. I'm still hoping for a change, though.

@Ben J: could it be that you're seeing a box of 30 minifigs (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=6029267-1)? That seems to be new for this series.

They finally arrived here in Switzerland as well...

it's already released in Singapore last week. :)

Bought series 9 CMF at the Regent TRU on Friday in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. There was a bin with 12 cases. Still need to find the cop.

Posted by ninjavader999 in United States, 20 Jan 2013 11:44

I'm in Alaska and my local Fred Meyer and Wal-Mart haven't yet begun stocking. It may be due to the fact that both stores got a shipment of series 7 after both ran out of 8. his was good because I hadn't picked up (or even seen) series 7 figures anywhere, so I stocked up. :D I hope they're not waiting for 7 to run out before stocking 9. =/

Posted by powerpig in Canada, 20 Jan 2013 13:22

Just picked up a full set of 16 today at the Chapters/Indigo in Dartmouth, NS. They only had one box!

Posted by Odeinoichus in Canada, 20 Jan 2013 14:38

@Brickcetra: TRU Regent is at least better than TRU Polo Park, there display of CMF S9 was just taking all the packets out of the boxes and dumping them in big bins, no cases at all. Good luck finding anything there with the feel method.

Only managed to pick up the Fortune Teller so far due to budget concerns, all 16 from this series is going to be mine before the end of Winter though even if I have to stand there for an hour just feeling them out. Any tips on what the different shoulder armor parts will feel like so I don't wind up with too many Alien Avengers and Battle Mechs?

Posted by kn1ghtcr4wler in Canada, 20 Jan 2013 15:03

^ feel for the gun for the alien avengers, and as for the battle mechs, feel for the V shaped armor. its really easy to distinguish between the two.

@kartoffelviking:

Yes, these seem to be boxes of 30. I haven't been able to find a picture of them online but all boxes I've seen in Germany were of this size.

Makes it a lot harder to get a full set. I had to search through three boxes to find a single forest maiden.

Posted by STHTFH in Canada, 20 Jan 2013 16:00

I've found them at the Toys Toys Toys at the Eaton Centre here in Toronto. They only had one box though and I've pretty much cleared them out...

Posted by Dimefield in Canada, 20 Jan 2013 17:57

Saw them at TRU in north Edmonton but didnt pick any up as i havent finished series 8 yet and have lost some of the collection bug for them. Maybe it was just a bad day.

Posted by tjyeldon1 in United States, 20 Jan 2013 19:07

I live in Alabama and the only place you can get them is at my local Lego Store. I have checked my local Target and TRU but neither had them.

Posted by brixton in Canada, 20 Jan 2013 19:32

The LEGO store had these about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I haven't seen them outside of the LEGO store yet.

Posted by suckerpunch83 in Canada, 21 Jan 2013 00:55

I picked up the complete set at a new Mastermind Toys location last Sunday. They actually posted on Kijiji they had them in stock and I went right in. Chicken Suit Guy definitely a favorite!

Posted by IAmWillGibson in Canada, 21 Jan 2013 12:45

@ STHTFH Ew, you bought from Toys Toys Toys? Man, just go upstairs, Indigo had a bunch, and World's Biggest had a few too, at about $1.50 cheaper each. Never buy from the T-Cubed unless it's a last resort!

But yeah, as I said, Chapters/Indigos have them now, in and around Toronto. I imagine Walmart will get them here soon to, if they don't have them already.

Posted by kvasir in Canada, 22 Jan 2013 22:01

I was quite surprised to see them in the Calgary LEGO store before Christmas, but none at the Discovery Hut in the same mall. In the past, Discovery Hut had new Collectible Minifigs in stock almost a month AHEAD of the LEGO store.

Still no sight of Series 9 in Walmart, which is really unusual. Other LEGO stocks are also dwindling as well in the three Walmarts I've been to in my area.
