Prince of Persia microsite live

Check it out but there's not much there yet except an embedded trailer. I believe the sets are due out in April so I guess more content will appear this month. I've asked LEGO whether it's safe for me to repost the set images now :-)

(Thanks nandj and merljin for the news)

hmm... they released this earlier than I thought they would!

Posted by knuclear200x in United States, 03 Mar 2010 15:20

Well that was rude. I was going to look at the products and games but that dang prince kept breaking the tabs XD.

Also I can't get over the fact that the prince has a name. I think it would've been a good surprise for viewers when they find out that he doesn't have a name, like the Pointy-haired boss from Dilbert. As for the lego sets, I still try to avoid collecting caucasian minifigs but all those animals and weapons are tempting.

Posted by DrathMaul1997 in United Kingdom, 03 Mar 2010 15:40

Ummmmm why did the prince keep cutting things? Its silly :)

Posted by EdwinJackson in Norway, 03 Mar 2010 15:42

I loved that the prince did a Wade Wilson on the tabs. Cute :)

Posted by robsy43 in United States, 03 Mar 2010 15:59

the us lego magazine has an add of prince of persia

Posted by I like Lego in Canada, 03 Mar 2010 17:33

I played and finished the Video Game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. But the trailer looks nothing like anything in the game.

@DrathMaul1997: He broke the tabs because the site's a Minisite - it's not the actual site. It's a preview of the upcoming site set for release in May.

Posted by chrisdog121411 in United States, 04 Mar 2010 00:27

The movie looks good, but I havent played the game. But I will see the movie on may 28 (is that a friday?)

Posted by Zrath in United States, 04 Mar 2010 00:40

I was at a local Toys'R'Us today, and its Lego shelves were pretty bare. I did notice something interesting though:
price tags for Prince Of Persia sets already affixed to the shelves.
I think the sets are coming out REAL soon! :D

Good microste, I watched trailer :-)

Posted by freston in United Kingdom, 04 Mar 2010 10:43

Interesting that some of the sets have been listed on the Hamleys website (http://www.hamleys.com) for a month or more, though all shown as "Out Of Stock"

Posted by Kobacca in United States, 04 Mar 2010 16:54

Yeah, that's great freston, you can even look at all of them in, like, mega-zoom. Ostrich race is not shown for some reason.

Posted by ARC170Dinofighter in Canada, 04 Mar 2010 20:35

3rd Indy wannabee? I thought it was the second.

Posted by Kobacca in United States, 04 Mar 2010 21:42

I don't really know how to e-mail the info, so I am forced to spam the comment section: Star Wars magnets and other accessories are on Legoshop.com now :)

Posted by bajadogq in United States, 04 Mar 2010 21:54

Speaking of Prince of Persia, where did the pics on Brickset go? Did this "Prince" cut them up too?

Posted by Tommyo3000 in United States, 04 Mar 2010 23:50

Cool! I noticed that Dastan has the Indiana Jones face and the long Luke Skywalker hair.

Posted by legofanatic2414 in United States, 05 Mar 2010 00:30

Nope ARC170Dinofighter, the 3rd as the first was Johnny Thunder, the second one was Orient Expedition (I know its the same as Johnny Thunder but I count it as a different theme.) And ofcourse this is 3rd.

Posted by R4-G9 in Canada, 05 Mar 2010 10:21

tommyo3000 i hope that the hair and that face aren't final, because in all the toy fair and other pictures the prince had a different face and hair! how soon will they be out?

edit: the games site is out! http://games.lego.com/en-US/default.aspx

Posted by darthvader321 in United States, 05 Mar 2010 12:58

The site didn't work for me. Nothing loaded.

Interesting... I am not sure what to think. Pg-13? Isn't that a little harsh for little kids running a thug on a ostridge as fast as there little legs can carry them? I remain nutral.

legofanatic2414:
Ah, that explains it. Interesting minisite. Nice 'preview'

Posted by ARC170Dinofighter in Canada, 05 Mar 2010 20:43

Revenge of the Sith was PG-13. So was Last Crusade. They made sets of both of those movies.

Posted by refriedbeans in United States, 05 Mar 2010 23:01

Huw are you going to add the duplo Easter mystery figure set up I have it if u need a picture

Posted by clone commander trainrex in United States, 06 Mar 2010 06:19

@ARC170Dinofighter-Also Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and some of the Harry Potter movies(4, 5, 6 I think)

Posted by legofanatic2414 in United States, 06 Mar 2010 12:56

ARC170Dinofighter, also all Indiana Jones movies, Spider-man movies (why Megabloks?), I even think the Spongebob movie had some suggestive themes. What are happening to kids movies nowadays? they have SUGGESTIVE themes? I wouldn't be suprised if "Barney the movie" had Barney with two pistols.

Posted by I like Lego in Canada, 06 Mar 2010 15:08

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is rate PG-13 because of: Intense Sequences of Action and Violence. Not like Avatar where everybody's swearing in every other scene. And some of the PoP sets look pretty good. Especially the big castle.

Posted by ARC170Dinofighter in Canada, 06 Mar 2010 17:40

legofanatic2414: true. I mean, Indy 2 had a very dark ad particularily gruesome storyline. The only reason it's not rated PG-13, is because the rating wasn't yet invented (In fact, I hear that's why they invented it). If I young child decided to watch it because they got a LEGO set with it, and it was only PG, they'd be frightened to death and balling their eyes out.

If you click the sword the trailer will go away, then click on the guy who cuts tabs and the tabs will come back!

The new Brick magazine is on the LEGO.com site.

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 10 Mar 2010 17:45

The new Prince of Persia look much more amazing than I had originally thought from the blurry pictures! The movie looks fairly intriguing as well. I might actually have to dip into my budget even further to purchase some of these and watch the movie in theaters! Wow!

Posted by Tommyo3000 in United States, 10 Mar 2010 18:08

Lego has practically took away any pictures of Quest Against Time on the internet!

Posted by R4-G9 in Canada, 10 Mar 2010 19:07

tommyo3000 not all of them:

Thanks for pointing that out! :) I actually found a few others so i guess Lego hasn't got to deleting all of them yet.
