Nice looking set for $30. Also looks like the Wells Fargo stagecoach :P

Posted by Vortex in Pakistan, 09 Feb 2013 11:32

Very charming. Will make a cute display

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 11:41

Again, this set looks excellent, the stagecoach is looking wonderful and those Minifigures are equally brilliant. Just like the Constitution Train Chase, $30 seems like a very reasonable price.

Posted by Bricktofen in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 12:03

Right that's two I already want for sure :S! Time to find out I want all the others lol.

Posted by CamberbrickGreen in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 12:15

A hat-wig combo? and a suicide-bomber horse! Sold! ...and also the most beautiful model in ages?

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 09 Feb 2013 12:17

Was it too much to ask for Lego to make all their 2013 sets this good?

Posted by covecollectable in Canada, 09 Feb 2013 12:17

Very nice set, hope the movie is as good as the set design, will make for a more popular theme. The $30 price point looks great I had thought $44.95CAD would be the range but will happily gab it at $30.

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 09 Feb 2013 12:23

Probably be $40 for Canada for this set.

Posted by rosney in United States, 09 Feb 2013 12:26

Looks like we'll all have lots of Tonto and Rangers :)

Posted by rosney in United States, 09 Feb 2013 12:32

$30 for three horses, 5 (very nice) minifigs and one hell of a nice vehicle? If the price stays put, that makes this set better than #9471 and likely makes this set my favorite value of 2013.

My one hope is that the TLR line becomes super popular so that Lego pulls the Western Modular Town out of the Cuusoo archive. What a fantastic pairing.

I haven't been this excited for a theme since I can remember.

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 12:35

Another cracker, high hopes for the rest of them now.

Posted by Lantaar in Hungary, 09 Feb 2013 12:50

The movie might be good or bad (I can see it go either way), but I have to admit these are great sets so far. Much better than the new Iron Man sets (of which I'm a much bigger fan). The figs look great and the sets themselves a great period pieces, something we haven't seen for a while.

Posted by Firox 5000 in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 12:56

Just like the train, an excellent looking set. Fingers crossed the other four will be just as good.

Posted by Graysmith in Sweden, 09 Feb 2013 12:57

Definitely my favourite of the Lone Ranger sets. Can't imagine it'll only cost $30 though, even if the piece count will be low that many minifigures and horses should bump the price. $39.99 sounds far more realistic to me.

Posted by Graham2912 in United States, 09 Feb 2013 12:59

that stagecoach looks amazing but the horses look tiny

Posted by rawbob in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 13:12

I can see me turing the stagecoach into Dr King Schultz's Dental Wagon from Django Unchained. I'm not sure how to make the tooth on a spring at the top though?

Posted by Darth Nader in United States, 09 Feb 2013 13:19

At first I thought these lone ranger sets wouldn't be so good but now that I'm seeing the pics, they look pretty nice.

Posted by Necofurtim in United States, 09 Feb 2013 13:30

There is Absolutely NO way this $30 USD, look it has 3 horses AND 5 minfigures. $50.

Posted by tmgm528 in United States, 09 Feb 2013 13:32

/\ Who knows maybe Lego is getting better on prices (I hope)
If it is $30 USD I may have to add this to my wanted list. :)

Posted by icey in Denmark, 09 Feb 2013 13:41

Everyone being this positive, TLC for sure will raise the pricetag to $49... :-)

Posted by luckyruss in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 14:02

Can only echo the thoughts of others, both this and the train look excellent. Lots of detailing and really nice touches, can't wait for them to be released!

Posted by obiron17 in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 14:16

It's showing up at €49.99 here: http://thebrickblogger.com/2012/12/2013-lego-lone-ranger-sets-pictures/
Which seems more realistic given the amount of figs/horses etc. Loving the Helena Bonham-Carter minifig though so it's definitely on my shopping list for 2013

Posted by Natotron1979 in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 15:02

I wish I liked cowboy stuff, this is an absolutely beautiful set.

Posted by goldfish in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 15:19

Superb figures again...

Posted by bigjsd in United States, 09 Feb 2013 15:23

Ok the train didn't impress me (looked like a poor design) but this stagecoach is a MUST HAVE. Probably the only set I buy of the theme unless they release a cool saloon, which is unlikely.

Posted by Grimlock in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 15:33

Nice set.

Posted by iancam33 in United States, 09 Feb 2013 15:38

Very nice set as is the train.

Posted by Dragon_Master_48 in United States, 09 Feb 2013 16:09

This seems like a good set, especially one for only $30. LEGO has really been improving and expanding building techniques to bring their customers amazing products!

Posted by bigjsd in United States, 09 Feb 2013 16:14

Some of the literature floating around the internet shows the Stagecoach set priced at 49.99 Euro, there is no way that translates into $30.00 here in the USA. Maybe $54.99 here in the USA which would be exactly what I would think on a set like this.

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 09 Feb 2013 16:20

This is actually really nice looking. I like all of the figures, as well as the parts and colors. I don't think there have been 3 (!) horses in any other set, at least from the 2012 horse design - I can't speak for all of the older models.

Posted by yys4u in United States, 09 Feb 2013 16:22

NO way am I paying 50 bucks for this set. I'm tired of paying up the (you know what) for set licenses and new molds. Give me some quality models with yellow faces and I'll pay the price. At 30 bucks I may get this, it is a very nice stage coach.

This set makes me really with the Modular Western Town had passed review...

Posted by Skywalker1966 in United States, 09 Feb 2013 17:04

So, just $30 for a beautifully designed stage coach, 5 excellent minifigs, three of the newer-styled horses AND a stunning selection of pieces? Provided it stays $30, totally sold. :P

Posted by Starik20X7 in Australia, 09 Feb 2013 17:38

I just noticed- it looks like LEGO have redesigned the 6 shooter piece! Either that or my eyes are going...

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 09 Feb 2013 17:44

If it's really $30 for five minifigures and three horses that's an amazing deal, I figured it's a $40 set.

beautifully designed.

Posted by UtarEmpire in United States, 09 Feb 2013 18:27

This looks pretty darn cool.

Posted by mountebank in United Kingdom, 09 Feb 2013 18:38

Not so bothered by this set having seen the train set earlier today. Still, worth looking at the comments to see a couple of knock-outs by CamberbrickGreen and rawbob. Well done chaps!

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 09 Feb 2013 18:54

Though that link is from December 19, 2012 obiron17 gave, so it might had been a estmiated price.

Posted by jpw150 in United States, 09 Feb 2013 19:45

The Lone Ranger sets look better than I thought...

Posted by peterlmorris in United States, 09 Feb 2013 22:34

I feel like you guys are burying the lead here.

HASBRO KRE-O Star Trek!

How many Cuusoo projects go down the drain on that one?

Posted by ApolloVI in United States, 10 Feb 2013 01:34

^We've known about KRE-O Star Trek for months, and Lego was never going to make a Star Trek CUUSOO set anyway. Too close to Star Wars and they don't have the license.

Posted by mars4life in United States, 10 Feb 2013 02:16

This looks great. If it really is only $30 I will definitely be getting one.

Posted by OuterRimTradingCo. in Australia, 10 Feb 2013 08:23

It's a very nice looking design, however if the design is unchanged from the catalogue pic from late last year I feel the coach is sitting a little too high off the ground... So far, so good though. This and the Constitution look really nice, and even if the movie isn't that great at least these may sell pretty good...

Posted by BigOnBricks in United States, 10 Feb 2013 08:48

Looks amazing...I have no interest in the movie, can't stand Johnny Depp...but I might need to get this set just because the stage coach is so beautifully designed.

Posted by Fan of Lego in United States, 10 Feb 2013 10:09

From the photos at the New York toy fair it looks like it will be 29.99 USD
http://cdn.toyark.com/news/attach/6/9/_DSC3351_1360501058.jpg

Posted by Necofurtim in United States, 10 Feb 2013 13:02

Just noticed the price tag from the Toy Fair pictures......I just ate my own words. Its $30 USD for all this!
This has to be the best Valued LEGO set ever produced; 3 horses in two colors, 5 minifigures, two with custom head gear and it's a licensed theme!

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 10 Feb 2013 13:21

Set has 279 pieces for a ppp of 10.75 cents.

Posted by yamaki in Germany, 10 Feb 2013 13:39

30$! Wow I envy you in the US. It costs 50€ over here (about 67$) and I honestly think this is a little unfair. But darn, this set is a sweet one for sure, even if I couldn't care less about the movie!

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 10 Feb 2013 14:33

The pricing is LEGO's secret plan to get more tourists to come to the USA. Honestly, get over here, buy what you want, enjoy our lovely country then get the hell out once the people start driving you nutty. :)

Posted by yamaki in Germany, 11 Feb 2013 06:06

Haha, you are so right! I might just do that one day, will bring some beer and pretzels!

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 11 Feb 2013 13:11

I know people from Canada do that. They know someone in the USA, buy things on sale and have it mailed to the friends. Then they come down for a weekend, visit, hit up some Lego Stores and the whole trip and everything is still cheaper than buying in Canada.

At this rate, I probably will find the set for $25 on Amazon or somewhere, and can send the set (minus the box) to Europe for cheaper. I know there is the 17.6% Euro tax, but even still you guys and gals are getting screwed.

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 11 Feb 2013 23:12

And that would have it at about 22 Euro at current rates.

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 12 Feb 2013 15:56

But Lego can't go at current rates, those change all the time, and the price of sets do not. Like it or not Europe will always be paying more than the USA, there are the taxes and the fact LEGO has more competitors in the USA. However it was typically close to $30=30Euro/35Euro. Even 40 Euro, but I have no clue how LEGO figured out the 50 pound/euro price point. I'd look into buying from Amazon.com and see if it's cheaper shipping it. BN.com ships internationally, and has sales.

The summer sets all look great, but their price points are the one thing that doesn't even come close to making any sense.
