    Several correspondents have reported that Toys R Us in the USA have started stocking 2008 sets, including the Exo-Force ones, so if you're near one, go and check it out!

    The appearance of new sets after Thanksgiving has been the norm for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately we in the UK have to wait until January before we see them although sometimes S@H lists them just before Christmas. Just after the last posting date for them to arrive for Christmas, usually :-)

No, not yet, but someone reviewed the new anakin. The Luke marquette is now in sets as well. The city police sets are out in TRU, as well as the new mars mission sets, like the M1-switch fighter. I can supply pics if you would like.

Saw the 08 Police Copter, Police Mobile Unit, 2 9.99 Racers, 1 29.99 Ring of Fire Racers, Ferrari F1 Truck Racers (19.99). Picked up set 8143 (Ferrari f430 Challenge) for 26 bucks. Also picked up Batmobile UCS for 15 bucks after a 10 buck coupon! Black Friday Rules!

Grabbed the MT-21 Mobile Mining Unit tonight. The TRU I went to also had the Switch Fighter (Transforms between a fighter and ground tank) and quite a few of the new Racers. City police sets were also in good supply.
I think once most Toys R Us' restock from this weekend's madness, a lot of the newer sets will be even easier to find.

I think the new Castle sets are slated for April release, so I wouldn't expect to see them turning up just yet.

It doesn't surprise me that TRU is out of stock. The place was a madhouse on Friday. I went to Kmart 6 am Friday morning (they had all Lego Buy 2 Get 1 Free) and left without buying anything because 2 older men filled 2 shopping carts with Lego. I was annoyed. I am usually mad at Kmart because they never have stock of what they advertise but I figured I was safe getting there right after they opened. I didn't count on someone to raid the Lego section and leave hardly anything on the shelves. I was probably the 1st person to go to the Lego section after those 2 guys and they bought all the City, Star Wars, Creator sets on the shelves. I wasn't mad at Kmart right away but then my wife said I should be because Kmart didn't place a limit on what you can buy. This would have prevented these guys from buying out nearly the entire stock of Lego.

Be patient for the '08's. I will wait to buy the bulk of them unless I have gift cards to buy them before they go on sale next year. Take solace in the fact that you will be able to buy the '07's dirt cheap pretty soon. The great thing about Lego is that you can buy doubles and even want doubles of the same sets because the pieces are universal.

Was at Toys R Us Times Square last night and saw the Exo Force Jungle set and Blue tank. Also saw the 4 new Tiny Turbos. I can't say I liked these 08's too much. The 8149 Midnight Streak is great but it looks very similar to the red car in the Bullet Run set. It is the best car from the set. There are glow in the dark parts in all of these sets. The other cars look too plain and even ugly. It is almost like there was more attention paid to adding glow in the dark bricks than in actual set design.

Also went to FAO Schwarz and they had a giant Santa Claus sculpture there on the first floor. They also had a liife size Chewie, Vader, R2 and C3PO, Hagrid, Harry, Ron, Hermione, SPonge Bob as well. There is also an amazing NY City diorama/display built by Nathan Sawaya, Sean Kenney and one other LEGO builder (I am sorry I don't remember the other artist but I was familiar with Sawaya and Kenney before I saw this display). If you want to see some really amazing LEGO work google these guys. Also do a brickshelf search for them. I believe Sawaya has a website titled thebrickartist.com. Check them out.

Ummm...which sets are majored to be released in summer2008?I really like Republic Fighter Tanks name.

It will be great if lego released a set that is:Technounion Ship that will include the Technounion Ship,a clone turret(2),a clone speeder bike,and a geonosin turret(1).

Minifigs:3 EP2 clones,1 EP2 clone commander,2 geonosins,1 red droid,and 2 battle droids.

What do you think?

I think they should make a Jedi Archives set that includes two jedi padawans and Jochasta Kneu minifigures.

P.S. I don't know how to spell her name correctly, I just guessed. And I also have the entire design for it in my bedroom 'cause one day my sister Hannah who is a few years older than I and is a huge fan of star wars decided to build a Jedi Archives lego replica out of the legos at my house. Sadly, we haven't posted it on brickshelf yet.

Usually it means Republic Gunship. As for wiki, it isn't always right but it isn't always wrong. Some people like to add joke things in and laugh as the rest of us go crazy about it. But sometimes, the information is good info from a reliable source.

I agree. TRU had the PD copter and command center w/ the switch fighter and the new drilling unit(2008). They also had the hybrid rescue tank. Lego is slowly but surely releasing them. When It gets closer to christmas, hannuka(sorry if i spelled it wrong), etc. they should be on the sites of lego, TRU, Walmart, etc. and easier to find in stores.

sorry for double posting but the walmart here is not a site for sore eyes. It has fairly good selection, but not anything new. It is some 06 but mostly 07 castle and bionicle. I say walmart will be the last one to have 08 sets.

I have more LEGO sets than Wal-Mart! The Sprawl-Mart by me has 8-12 feet of LEGO and multiple facings of sets on the shelves. Target has 20-24 feet of LEGO. By me I have generally found the best selection of LEGO at either Target or TRU.

Sorry I got cut off- the lego shop in Santa Clara CA has most of the new Stars wars lego in, I am in NY but they are shipping me everything for only 10 dollars. Well worth it. I got the imperial dropship, rebel scout speeder, rogue shadow, and the AT AP. I only bought what I needed so I left penty for you. Don't be greedy and scalp them on ebay! They're being shipped tommorrow but they are Christmas gifts so I won't review them for a while.

The At-Ap was $40. Sorry I didn't ask about the 7670 It's the only set I am not interested in (right now). They didn't have 7669 anakin star fighter.

Fighter - I just called theme over the phone and they proceesed my order. I have been calling all the lego stores since thanks giving and they (swanta clara) was always the one that gave me the most hope. So if you can afford the shipping and have a credit card you can get the new SW lego too!

No they are not on the lego site yet. When I asked about 7669 anakin star fighter they said the didn't have it but would check on line to see if they could get it from the lego site. Well it's not on line and they couldn't get it for me yet. I don't know when SW 2008 will hit the lego site

that's all i could find though they are selliing 2006 sets like the bionicle playsets, vezon and fenrakk, toa inika, velika (and maybe the other voya nui matoron), quad bike?, and thats about it.

Well, Leggodt, let me see. It seems that 5616 is a Mars Mission set. The name of the set: Mini Robot. What is it? A robot equipped with a metal detector and (I think) a pickaxe, and an astronaut with a gun. Oh yes, and the robot opens up to put a crystal inside. There you have it. You have set no. 5616!

OH, okay well it is kinda small from the pictures I've seen. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....well I think......ummmm OK. I have a conclusion. Do yoy remember when the mini arc figher and mini jedi starfighter came out? They came with a special set, and I think that the Mini Robot will too. But that is just a logicall guess, so if I'm wrong please don't be mad at me. And it might not be small enough for that so.....

I believe that it is because Hasbro has the rights to do figures in a pack and that LEGO does not. Correct me if I am wrong but Hasbro sued them because they were cutting into Hasbro's market.

I don't think they counted droideka's as minfigs since they are made up of many pieces (well, more than most minfigs). Maybe they were counted more as vehicles like the Dwarf Spider (I think.

After looking at the roster for the new 2008 sets I'm really disapointed that there are no Batman sets listed. On "The Batman season 4" DVD disk 2 there is a preview for the Batman Lego video game. I don't get the game coming out when no new product is shipping. (By the way take green legs, all orange construcion workers shirt with the paint removed, classic male mini-fig face and luke skywalkers hair and bingo instant Aquaman.)

They have the new police station ($89.99) and two new SpongeBob sets at the MoA, Bloomington, MN Lego Store. There were probably some others, but those are the ones that caught my eye.

I think someone asked about the new sets in the Houston area. I live in Houston but happened to be in Beaumont today and they had all of the new SW sets except the battle packs and a couple of Indiana Jones sets as well. New police station was there too...

Ya see, even if I do own a particular set I still will extremely want it 'cause maybe it comes with rare minifigs or maybe it comes with cooler extras or maybe the design is much better. Take the AT-AT for example. I got the 4483 set about 4 years ago and the set that I most wanted for this year was the new 10178. Now the new At-At may not be the best example considering that it is electronic, but still you should be extatic about a new set comin' out even though you already own the previous version of it. :)
