It's been a long time coming, but finally, from tomorrow, you'll be able to pre-order LEGO Universe. By pre-ordering, you'll be guaranteed to have the Game DVD in home on the day the game is officially live. Additionally, if you get in quick you'll receive an Exclusive LEGO Universe Minifigure and code card that will unlock its digital counterpart within the game.

Click on the banner in the menu to find out more. I can't see an actual launch date on the site but presumably it is imminent.

Update: you can now pre-order it: here are direct links to it at LEGOshop.com: UK (£29.99) | US ($39.99)

    The small print:

    • Pre-Orders will be accepted in all LEGO Shop markets with the exception of Australia / New Zealand & Asia / South Korea.
    • The offer is limited to 5 per purchase
    • The LEGO Universe Game (DVD) will only be offered in: English (US); English (UK); French (Canada); German (Central Europe).
    • Offer is valid starting May 14, 2010 while supplies last only. Offer is available only by purchasing LEGO® Universe Massively Multiplayer Online Game DVD. Premium consists of one exclusive LEGO Universe Astronaut Minifigure and one Code Card, which may be used to access an exclusive in-game accessory. One exclusive Minifigure and Code Card per customer. Minifigure and Code Card are available exclusively through this offer; additional Minifigures and Code Cards cannot be purchased. Minifigure and Code Card will ship with DVD. Offer is valid in LEGO Stores, through LEGO Catalog and on shop.LEGO.com. Offer is not valid at LEGOLAND® Parks and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers. The LEGO Group reserves the right to cancel or modify this promotion at any time without prior notice. Minifigure value is approximately $2.99 (US) / 1.99 € (DE) / £1.49 (GBP).

I don't mean to brag but I am a lego Universe beta tester and the game rocks! I think everyone should pre-order it!

Boo! Discrimination against Australia and New Zealand!

Part of me really wants to get it, but the other part of me has been Beta testing it and not really enjoying it.

I hope its not too much money. I'm really enjoying the beta testing and I want to be able to purchase it when its out. Can't wait!

This is really disappointing Lego!!! Douse this mean that we’re not going to get it at all? I hope not. For if we don’t they have already failed with this adventure uniting people in all country’s in the universe in Lego universe.
And if we do I hope they’re going to make up for this and have a special launch day with an exclusive minifig for Australia New Zealand & Asia / South Korea.

Very disappointing Lego Just like Sharpy said a kick in the knickers to the loyal Australian market……

I am now going to go and dismantle some Lego set’s in disgust and put them back in there box’s! :[

http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=2855133&cn=638&d=70 $40 includes the first month. What's most interesting to me as a Mac user is that it now claims Win/Mac. Yay! Coming Autumn 2010. Boo!

I too am a LEGO Universe Beta Tester and yes the game is AWESOME, but....$40 and that's just for the disc and a "free" first month. You can't call it "free" if it is included with you pre-order box. And then to pay for the 1, 6 or 12 months to keep on playing on top of that? I mean it's worth it for those who want to play a awesome LEGO game. But I for one can't see buying it because, unless they keep adding new tasks, you already can do a lot of the tasks as a tester.

I'm not in any way complaining because I'm glad to be playing it as a tester, but the way I see it is this: $40 for an online game that only last for however long I pay for it OR $40 for an upcoming LEGO set that I will have forever?

Um... so can you pre-order it already? It's not 12:01 EST yet. But it looks like you can pre-order now on shop.lego.com. Anyone try to submit an order yet?

Im a Beta tester, too The game rocks!

Posted by Legend234 in United Kingdom, 14 May 2010 02:38

The lego website says that it will be realeased in Autumn 2010

Posted by Agreenbrick in Sweden, 14 May 2010 05:03

Isn't anyone wondering what it will cost per month??? I do, and i hope it's not over 100 SEK(about 10 dollars) because then i will have to wait a looong time before i can play it for real... I'm also a beta tester and the game rocks, but when lego makes it this unclear what will happen to your subscription in the future... I'm not sure if it's worth buying at all... but i still want it sooo bad...

Posted by DrathMaul1997 in United Kingdom, 14 May 2010 05:33

@ Agreenbrick yes most MMOs tell you quite quick but as it is meant for 5-9 year olds (no offense meant) it will most likely be £2-5 (thats a complete guess)

Sorry i've no idea What that is in SEK :)

Autumn? How many times are they going to delay it?
