There have been some signficant additions to both the shop and the main site today:

    • The Kingdoms micro-site is live and there are some nice downloads and activities to keep you occupied
    • The shop has been updated. In the UK, the Kingdoms and train sets have been added. The products launched in 2010 page (which for some reason includes loads of 2009 sets) shows them all. They'll show up in our product feed in a day or so.
    • Collectable minifigs are now available from LEGOshop.com in the USA and Canada! However there is a limit of 5 per customer! I hope and pray you can get hold of all that you want: it seems they are going to be in short supply in north America. We've heard reports that many independent toy stores are being limited to one or two boxes of 60, so grab them while you can.
    • Collectable minifigs have SOLD OUT in the rest of the world at LEGOshop.com and we've also heard it's a similar situation at the brand stores, with staff not knowing if or when they'll get more.
    • Update: Around 120 instructions were added to the customer services site, too. Thanks to Vidiator for sending me a list! As always, the 'latest instructions' page lists the newest additions to enable you to find them easily.

Suprised by the UK prices of the Kingdoms sets- I want to post something positive, but they really are too much.

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 01 Jun 2010 14:20

All of the Toy Story 3 sets are also now available in the UK at LEGOShop, they previously had a ship date of 29th June. Also, just noticed that the World Racers sets have been added too!

I just picked up 30042 from my local Tesco, they only one left and it was difficult to spot as it was hanging on the end of an aisle rather than being with the rest of the Lego.

There are also instructions for the new/upcoming Atlantis sets (e.g. 8077 or 8080) and Kingdoms sets (e.g. 7946) already online!

BTW at LEGOShop.com there are now all 2010 DUPLO sets (including Disney's Cars) available.

Re: the instructions, Brent's scanner will hopefully pick them up in the next day or so during its next sweep, but if anyone wants to send me a list of PDF filenames and set number as a CSV I can add them now.

Posted by bricksandmore in Guatemala, 01 Jun 2010 14:37

The set 8080 is already listed in the Atlantis page. BTW, any idea if Collectable figs are already in LEGO stores?

Posted by dasmurphy in Germany, 01 Jun 2010 15:10

In the LEGO Store in Hamburg (Germany) they told me that the First Edition is completely sold out and there will be no more in stores till the next edition.

Even if we are looking at Series 1 approaching a sellout around the world, I can't say I regret returning my 4 extra crash test dummies. :o)

Posted by DrDaveWatford in United Kingdom, 01 Jun 2010 15:57

It's really hard to believe that LEGO won't produce enough of the series 1 figs to satisfy demand - it's surely a licence to print money as far as they're concerned. I can however believe that perhaps LEGO didn't anticipate the level of demand and therefore needs to manufacture more stock.

And I love that the new trains are now on shop@home, although it might be worth seeing if Amazon etc. will discount them like they've discounted PoP etc.. Doubt I can bear too wait too long, however.....!

Man, some really nice sets, and that's not even mentioning the new space shuttle, the upcoming Star Wars sets, and the HP relaunch. It's sure going to be an expensive rest of the year....

my local toymaster has a couple boxes of 60 left...(well they did two weeks ago) - if anyone interested in them, let me know and i can maybe arrange shipment to you...clmc90@hotmail.com (mark)

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 01 Jun 2010 16:10

Why would Lego 'sell out' while there's still demand on the minifigs?! It's not like there's actually collector's value on any of them. Well I live in Canada so if I happen to see them in stores I'll keep the barcodes handy, but I'm far from impressed enough to go on a witch hunt for them. Besides, as my original complaint states, if we want them that badly just take a flight down to China... that's where the parts are made! Well I really hope Lego does a re-stock so kids actually have a chance to own some neat minifigs.

Does anyone know ehn the new SP3 sets will be released at Lego S@H? Seen a couple of external sites which have them available now. Agree with tenfootgerbil, prices of kingdoms sets are shocking, same with the increase of the new trains, about a 30-40% increase on last wave!

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 01 Jun 2010 16:30

As reported before, the SP3 sets have been in the Lego Brand Stores in the UK since last week; that would suggest that they'll be up on Lego's on-line store very soon. To be honest, I'm surprised they haven't gone up today, with the other new sets.

@Huw: I have send you the links to all new building instructions by e-mail - so you can update...

The prices this year for lego in the uk have soared too high ! .
The train prices are more expensive than the 2006 ones however these ones for me are just about acceptable . But the kingdom sets are ridiculously overpriced .

Prison carriage resque 50 pieces $9.99 = £9.99 -50 [should be £7.99]
Outpost attack 194 pieces $19.99 =£19.99 -6 [should be £14.99 [£17.99 at the max]
Prison tower resque 365 pieces $49.99=£44.99 -95 [should be £40 ]

The rest are expensive but not as bad as these above . I think the ones mentioned above are far too expensive .

I knew I should have waited before ordering Hyperspeed Pursuit and Smash 'n' Grab yesterday!

Ah well, wanted those sets anyway. I was dissapointed to see that the brand store in Manchester at the Legoland Discovery Centre had no Space Police 3 sets as of yesterday, not even last years sets. However, they still had a few boxes of Minifigures series 1 left.

Also, after speaking to two different Lego customer service representatives yesterday and today over the phone, I was informed that Space Police 3 should now be available in other UK retailers, such as Argos, and was no longer a Lego.com or brand store exclusive.

Can anyone else verify this?

Kingdoms prices seem OK for Ireland, except for an anomaly of Prison Tower Rescue being €55!!! (should be €45 max!) By contrast Kings Castle is €100 for 933 pieces. Still, Finland gets an even worse deal - €60 for the prison tower there! Seems to be €50 for most Eurozone countries (not available in Germany yet).

Thanks for the notification of all these new instructions! Can't wait to look through 'em all. :)

TRU in Minnetonka, MN did not have any of the Series one... but they did have a few new items!

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 02 Jun 2010 06:05

TRU in Massapequa NY has many of the summer sets in stock, including SP3! Will wait for them to go on sale though before buying any. Also in stock were KK3, City Airport, Plane, LEGO Truck, Octan Tanker, Creator Jet, Power Miners, etc.

The LEGO store at MOA (Bloomington, MN) received 20 boxes yesterday -- 1200 minifigs. My wife bought her allotted five today at noon and there were ~400 left according to the clerk. I went at 3:30 and they had a bin of about 50. The guy said that's all they had left and all they would have for the rest of the month!

Posted by Freddie in Norway, 03 Jun 2010 13:47

A fellow member at Brikkelauget contacted LEGO Shop@Home's customer service, asking about the "Sold Out" status on 8683.

In the reply it was stated that they were indeed sold out, since it was an experimental product, and therfore was produced in relatively low numbers. Any hopes of getting store-fresh examples would be from stores still having the product in stock.

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 04 Jun 2010 08:04

They still have series one at http://www.mailorderexpress.com/cgi/pfind.pl?BPC%3D10/TOK%3D2/IMG%3D1/PB%3D1/PSRT%3Dnull/EXFIND%3Dleg36/page%3Dresults.html
Although series 2 looks OK I prefer series 1 ( which I still haven't got many of yet:-( )
PS Please don't order all the series one off that site until I have :-)
