Australian LEGO shoppers will have noted that in Australia, until now, Series One LEGO Minifigures have only been available from Target and Toyworld stores (as well as through LEGOShop.com and some other online retailers).

I have reports that Australian Toys 'R' Us stores are receiving very limited stocks of them -- staff at one Toys 'R' Us store have indicated that the only stock they are expecting to receive, are two of the outer boxes: in other words, only 120 minifig packages!.

With reports coming in that many Target and Toyworld stores are now completely sold out of them, this might be your next chance to score that missing minifig from your collection!

There was a box at Moore Park last night, it had been heavily worked over but I managed to snag 10 of them.

Edit - also they were priced at $2.99 rather than the $3.99 from the online Lego shop

Sorry, No more at Moore Park. Just got the last two. Diver and Cowboy. Plus they let me have the empty box!

I have not seen any of the collectable minifigs in Target stores here in Perth. I've only seen them in Toyworld (on the counters) and most have already been cherry picked. Haven't tried Toys R Us yet.

FYI any Toyworld in QLD that sold out got new boxes today - Saw fresh boxes at both stores in Brisbane City this morning

Also may want to check Toy Kingdom - if you have one near you. My local store (Lismore NSW - pretty regional) had 2 new cases last week (Bought over half of what they had tho :-D).

I know they're not a very big chain, but they have them when my local Toyworld does not. Typical Toyworld didn't even know what I was talking about when asking if they were getting them in........

@ birgoyle, I love Toy Kingdom stores, in WA they are usually a 4 hour plus drive to get to but I have managed to find some older sets that aren't available in the usual metro stores anymore.

@ birgoyle: The Toyworld stores are very loosely connected to each other - you will find that most of the NSW stores (including Lismore) do not partcipate in most of the catalogues put out by the Toyworld Franchise office. This could be why the Lismore Toyworld did not know about the Collectable Minifigs.
