Thanks yellowcastle! Must purchase $75 at The LEGO Store to get the Spaceman Magnet!

Queens Center Mall Store info:
-Soft opening will be June 17th
-Our LUG, LongILUG (Long Island LEGO Users Group) is building the Brand Ribbon Models for this store and we are
delivering them this weekend
-there are 25 models in all, some of which are at the Roosevelt Field LEGO Store as well
-Grand Opening July 9-11, building R2-D2 (from the calendar that yellowcastle posted)
-exclusive set is a subway car (from the calendar that yellowcastle posted)

The LEGO Universe rocket building event - gosh, I wish my daughter were older so I could do that, too. For some reason, while I'm only moderately interested in the game at best, I really want the exclusive spaceman minifigure and the rocket - at least we get a better look at the rocket, maybe I can piece it together myself.

Also cool to see the Calgary store Grand Opening is so soon - happy day for the Canadian contingent of the AFOL legion!

The Spaceman magnet isn't a huge draw, but you can easily get it if you're planning on buying the Shuttle Adventure, which apparently will be available July 1 in the store - a few weeks before it's slated to be available on the S@H site!

it looks like the coupon could be used in the new lego store! and that the lego store might have the same calander as the one in the us! i just hope the coupon is $75 and not $100, and it looks like i am going to have a very busy july! i wonder what the lego rodeo set is? it says that i could get one from helping out build the buzz lightyear!

legoDad42 - soft opening is another term for 1st day the doors open for business. It is a chance for the employees and staff to get their feet wet before the crazy rush that will accompany the Grand Opening event that will attract hundreds of people per day to the store.

Nothing is going on that I am aware of other than the chance to shop at a LEGO Store. The Grand Opening on the 9-11 of July will include the Master Model Building Event. That should be a blast! I volunteered for the Roosevelt Field Store Grand Opening and I had so much fun there. Got to meet other AFOLs and hope to do the same during this event in a few weeks.
