They look nice though some of them may only be preliminary so the final model may be differnt then whats pictured. The new coast guard and Mars mission sets look really nice and it appears that we get some new aliens and the Mars Mission vehicles transform much like Alpha Team. I look forward to some of the Starwars though I hope the final model of the Magna Droid starfighter contains Magna guards and not Super Battle droids. I'm sure many are happy to see another Republic Gunship but whats with that sticker on the side of it. Is it a monkey with a bomb? To bad both the AT-TE and the Republic Gunship come with only 2 clones. The Creator boat looks huge and comes with a car maybe its a ferry. Anyway I think we should all start saving money for these new sets I know I will.

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 06 Jan 2008 17:28

All the Mars Mission sets look AMA'ZU'ZING!!! Especially the Crystal Reaper! But I'm bummed that we stil can't see the MM Crystal Hawk and the SW 7680 Twilight. I hope that brickset will get a hold of those pics soon.

Posted by Pegasi in United States, 06 Jan 2008 17:40

I surprised they actually have enough demand to make a second wave.

Posted by shadowaisha, 06 Jan 2008 18:08

The R. Gunship looks awesome so does the Castle Advent Calendar. The 5 and 10 dollars looking coast guard sets look juniorized though. I do like the helicopter though.

Posted by mocha in Canada, 06 Jan 2008 18:21

i cant wait 4 the republic gunship and the at-te. I also cant wait 4 the coast guard sets

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 06 Jan 2008 18:25

Thank you, Fighter95!

Posted by deluckybrick in United States, 06 Jan 2008 19:00

It looks good, but preliminary. As noted before, that's a P-38, not a magnadroid fighter thingy. I also dont like the look of the gunship.

Has their been summer '08 exo-force sets listed?

Posted by Commander Bacara, 06 Jan 2008 19:36

Take a look at these:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=294252

The AT-TE comes with 2 Cloone Troopers, Anakin Skywalker, Ashoka, and Rotta. I don't know who Ashoka and Rotta are, so don't ask.

Posted by Imperial13 in United States, 06 Jan 2008 19:56

A new jester helmet! Oh JOY!!!

Posted by Beaster, 06 Jan 2008 19:56

'I don't know who Ashoka and Rotta are, so don't ask.'

Ashoka is a Padawan, and I don't know about the other.
These will be awesome!!! I'm getting most, if not all of them!

Posted by Commander Bacara, 06 Jan 2008 20:34

So thats who Ashoka is. Wait, a Padawan! Awesome!

Rotta is probably from the Clone Wars series.

*goes to Wookiepedia and Star Wars Databank to check*

Posted by Imperial13 in United States, 06 Jan 2008 21:15

There is no monkey sticker on the side, thats just a websites logo, probably the on who found the pics, so no body ask again!

Posted by Denver_80203 in United States, 06 Jan 2008 21:21

no tubes. Linear actuator appears to be a gear driven shaft rather than using pneumatics. Interesting move and lots of potential. the new treads leads to a whole new scale of building in the technique sets. very cool to see the changes in that devision of Lego. It will be two years since the nxt robotics set was released -v2 coming this fall?

lol that makes sence, although i did think it was pretty cool... but thanks for lettin me know imperial13

Posted by smiley905 in Canada, 06 Jan 2008 21:54

and can anyone read the people on the atte i got up to anikan and i cant read any further

Posted by Reed9277, 06 Jan 2008 21:59

I'm really starting to like the Mars Missions sets, their sort of reminiscent of some of the old '80s '90s space sets. The "Hypersonic Operations Aircraft" reminded me almost immediately of the "Deep Freeze Defender," and the "Armored Drilling Unit" reminded me of the "Mega Core Magnetizer." I'm gonna have to get me some of those sets!

Posted by Commander Bacara, 06 Jan 2008 22:26

Imperial13, thats Saliacous Crumb (sp?) on the side holding a bomb. And smiley905, check my above post.

Posted by SillyQuack in United States, 06 Jan 2008 22:34

Commander Bacara. You are right, that is a crumb. No it's not a websites logo, it's what Bacara said. Sorry Imperial13, you were wrong.

Posted by jon11380 in United Kingdom, 07 Jan 2008 05:05

Disappointing the technic sets don't seem quite as detailed as there predecessors such as the legendry air tech truck 8868. This had mock engine, steering, pneumatic controlled truntable as well as the crane. The excavator looks only big enough for control of the jib unless i am mistaken, same with teleloader.

Posted by copmike in Sweden, 07 Jan 2008 06:26

"There is no monkey sticker on the side, thats just a websites logo, probably the on who found the pics, so no body ask again!"
No, the sticker is from the real picture!
There is better pics of the AT-TE, V-19 Torrent and Magna Droid Fighter here:

Enjoy!

Posted by millacol88 in Canada, 07 Jan 2008 08:28

sweet in that picture it clearly shows in the bottom right corner that it comes with two magnagaurds. the shadows are of super battle droids but below that it says it comes with magmnagaurds. a lot of people were worried that it would just come with super battle droids so i just thought i would clear that up.

Posted by rockdog3, 07 Jan 2008 12:33

I guess the Republic Gunship and AT-TE won't really have good based on what I see in this section. But, I don't have those sets and I REALLY want them, and since they are 2008 sets, its all the better! I don't have any CITY sets I think but I like the COAST GUARD a lot.

Posted by GeøDav in United States, 07 Jan 2008 13:09

To smiley905:

It looks to me like the other characters that come with the new AT-TE are Obi-Wan and Plo Koon, but I might be wrong. I'll try to find out more. Really looking forward to that set - it looks great.

Hope this helps. :)

-GeoDav

Posted by GeøDav in United States, 07 Jan 2008 13:14

Oops, those were on the Republic Gunship (Doh!). My mistake.

I think they're Ashoka and Rotta who come with the AT-TE, but I'm not sure who they are.

Sorry for the double post.

The Coast Guard theme rocks. I plan to get the whole series.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 07 Jan 2008 15:53

Yea i'm planning to get the whole series too.

Posted by legoville410 in United States, 07 Jan 2008 16:28

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 07 Jan 2008 17:00

the new star wars sets look great but i'm really looking forward to the new castle line. the coast guard series also looks great. does anyone think that the new castle sets will be out b march? if so then im stocking up on mine defenders. you can never have to many orcs and dwarfs.

thanks to commander bacara for the great links!

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 07 Jan 2008 17:27

Lego should really do something about the crappy legs the produce. not that the figs their in are crappy though. its like in the mine how theres a throne but the lord just stands in front of it pointlessly. but it would look REALLY bad if the minilegs were movable. i just hate that thought.

BRRRRR
Also are there going to be any more impulse sets? like mabe an Indy one and a "guard" one. that would be sooooo great...

also sorry for posting so many times

Posted by legoville410 in United States, 07 Jan 2008 17:41

i agree about having a indiana jones guard impulse. Perfect for building a non starwars army.

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 07 Jan 2008 17:56

i wonder what the agent sets are gonna have in 'em...

Posted by transtechnic in Ireland, 07 Jan 2008 18:00

I was hoping the new technics sete would wow..sadly only the tekehandler looks like one i will get..but it could have been more detailed e.g proper pads on the stabilizers etc..the big disappointment was the excavator..it could easily have been on a par with the backhoe loader, frontend loader or even the fanastic bulldozer(o7)com'on lego what about a road grader or a land scraper or cement mixer..hopefully!!

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 07 Jan 2008 18:05

you know the more i think about it the more potential impulse sets I think of... like a batman one or maybe a jester like in the advent calendar. that would all be cool. also a little heads up for the upcoming indy sets, the crystal skull or whatever, there are some apparently Russian soldiers in the river chase and the biggy set. ust look for the green guys. dont believe me? look up lego indiana jones on wikipedia.
20008 IS GONNA BE ONE OF LEGO'S BEST YEARS!

TY mocha. Hopefully the agent sets will have some useful stuff like guns etc...
and i agree with exo-forever about the endless possiblities impulse sets. The list goes on and on.......

Posted by Tuskinvader in United States, 07 Jan 2008 19:30

I wonder when they will upload the pictures of the Twilight Set?

Posted by Commander Bacara, 07 Jan 2008 20:28

I want to see the Twilight too. It's probably something from the Clone Wars series or The Forse Unlaeshed game.

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 07 Jan 2008 20:48

I used to watch the clone wars (cartoon right?) and I don't remember anything called the twilight. It's probably from the force unleashed or something else.

Posted by Commander Bacara, 07 Jan 2008 21:09

I mean't the new live action series. lol

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 07 Jan 2008 21:39

ooooooohhhhhh ok then i have no clue. lmao

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 08 Jan 2008 01:46

Yea. Hopefully they will bring out new stuff that they haven't made before.

Posted by lego vally in Australia, 08 Jan 2008 01:53

omgbrick i totaly agree with you that the set will change hopefully for the better.
it seens that every year they are releasing more as if to beat the previous year for the number of sets you can buy. if you go to browse and click on the years you can see what i mean. such as in the 80's there are betwean 2 and 6 pages. the 90's between 5 and 13 pages. between 2000 and 2007 there are between 16 to 18 pages.
CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE 2008 SETS

Posted by brickzone in Ireland, 08 Jan 2008 05:38

2008 looks like being quite an amazing Lego year. I like the new Coastguard sets; I think they look the part (even if the jeep/4x4 is rather gigantic).

For me there's a lot anyways; the entire Indy line, the City Post/Cargo line, the Creator House, Town Plan, all the new Castle sets (although the troll's battle wagon I'll get only for completeness; apart from the figs, it's too like the Viking one). I'd also like to get the Police Station, and the new Mars Mission sets interest me a bit, unlike the old ones.

Yep, all in all, I think this is the best year in some time for Lego!

Posted by lego vally in Australia, 08 Jan 2008 06:06

i have found some pictures if the new VW bettle. it will be coming out on the 1st of july 2008 and will be available from lego stores and S@H. it will cost about 120 euros. it is about 40 cm long and has 1000 pieces. they made the motor and then they said it doesn't look like the real thing so they pulled i tapart and rebuilt it. the motor actually works. i will put the pictures onto brickshelf but for the mean time here is someone elses pictures.

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 08 Jan 2008 07:19

Have there been any more pictures of the battle wheel? I really want to see that set in focus.

Posted by legozander in Ireland, 08 Jan 2008 08:23

Guys, you know these images are LEAKED? This means they are illegal, and I really don't think you guys a brickset should spread illegal lego images...

-Zander-

Posted by Commander Bacara, 08 Jan 2008 10:33

Plus, the SW LEGO license ends in 2011. 3 years from now. TLG could still come out with many great new sets.

*secretly wishes for UCS Episode III Jedi Starfighter*

Posted by dragon_teenager in United States, 08 Jan 2008 11:16

I'm really excited for 08. The StarWars sets already look great, mostly from a design perspective, and the new Mars sets look great as well. Even Exo-Force looks pretty good, and I hate Exo-Force.

I'll probably end up buying a lot of Mars and StarWars sets, and ignoring the others, but I've never been more tempted to buy Castle-sets than this year.

Posted by lukekis07, 08 Jan 2008 12:30

IM HOPING THERE WILL BE HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE SETS THIS YEAR!! GOOD 2008 SETS

Posted by rockdog3, 08 Jan 2008 12:44

exo-forever11 so is this "Impulse series" just small sets within other themes like CITY? And yes, I agree with everyone, this is probably going to be one of the best years for LEGO.

Posted by rockdog3, 08 Jan 2008 12:47

Forgot to add this to my previous comment but the only bad thing about really good big sets, is that they are expensive! I mean, I can only get those kind of big sets(like the Republic Gunship for example) on Christmas day or on my birthday if I am really lucky.

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 08 Jan 2008 13:01

Lego Star Wars sets cost more because of licensing with Lego; some of the money has to go to Lucasfilm, so to avoid losing money Lego 'up' their prices.

Posted by rockdog3, 08 Jan 2008 13:07

Sounds like a reasonable answer legoguysw, makes sense.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 08 Jan 2008 15:12

Legozander wrote: "Guys, you know these images are LEAKED? This means they are illegal, and I really don't think you guys a brickset should spread illegal lego images..."

They are from the 2008 retailers' catalogue and I suppose in an ideal world they would not find their way outside of toy shops and onto the 'net, but they do whether LEGO like it or not. My recent dealings with them (over the sets for the new IJ movie) suggest that once they are out there, there's really no point them trying to remove them from everywhere.

Besides the US, German and UK toy fairs will be in a couple of weeks and traditionally pics from them showing all new sets appear pretty quickly afterwards so I don't suppose they are that bothered.

Having said all that, Steve, if you're tuning in and you want them removed, drop me a note!

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 08 Jan 2008 15:32

To all ya'll people saying that LEGO has got some major set making to do on Star Wars, don't forget about that new(non-animated) television series that's coming out in 2009. Can't wait for 2008 to progress, 'cause I too believe that this year will be one of the best years yet for lego.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 08 Jan 2008 15:45

Lego Star Wars cost more for its name, for example. The UCS Star destroyer cost NZD 729.99 and has 3104 pieces. But the Eiffel Tower has 3428 pieces and it cost NZD 439.99. That show thats it cost more for the SW name.

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 08 Jan 2008 15:47

Whatever!

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 08 Jan 2008 16:07

For rockdog3 I don't know what Lego's motivation was for making the Impulse sets, but I was reading somewhere that they were a sort of "substitute" to buying action figures (like no more action figures, Lego!). In my opinion there nothing more then a way to boost up your armies, teams, etc, with some either hard to get of exotic figs. Thats why I was so excited 'bout them earlier and thats why I wanted to hrow out some random fig ideas for impulse.

Posted by Commander-Cody in United Kingdom, 08 Jan 2008 16:54

It would be great if there were Impulse sets with One Large troll only, for Castle. But in Star Wars Impulse, there should be sets with: one royal guard, one gungan, one clone, one jedi, one wookiee, or one rebel soldier. On the evil side there could be: 2 battle droids, 1 droideka, 1 geonosian, one stormtrooper or one bounty hunter.

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 08 Jan 2008 17:00

I so agree with the giant troll impulse. I think I might have started something here, wishing for certain Impulse...

Posted by legoville410 in United States, 08 Jan 2008 20:09

to: exo-forever11
i think lego is mimicing the playmobil minifigs trying to get more business(Not that i prefer playmobil but i do have boxes full of them)

Posted by exo-forever11 in Canada, 08 Jan 2008 20:29

OMG I never thought of that! thats where they got the idea! And Play mobile does do that: packaging INDIVIDUAL figures. My friend's did has got TONNES of Play mobile like: KNIGHTS, POLICE, FIREMEN, ETC. I see a huge similarity. Great discovery! (and they're both European)

Posted by rockdog3, 08 Jan 2008 21:22

to David1985:

What do you mean rights? I mean they should have the right to do that... If they sold individual Star Wars figures like what Commander-Cody said,"one royal guard, one gungan, one clone, one jedi, one wookiee, or one rebel soldier" I think that would be a big hit. I mean, Star Wars figures are very popular. I think so anyway.......

Posted by Commander Bacara, 08 Jan 2008 21:39

Yea. True.

Posted by shadowaisha, 08 Jan 2008 22:52

So, there will be more sets in the summer other than these?

Posted by littlelegoluke in United States, 08 Jan 2008 23:47

I hope shadowaisha is right. i still want impiriel impersination <*;)

Posted by Commander Bacara, 09 Jan 2008 00:07

I have a source that tells me that The Twilight is a cargo ship that Anakin uses in the new Clone Wars anamated series. There is a video on starwars.com of a trailer for the new series, and you see the ship about halfway through the video, and it looks like a B-Wing without one of the wings.

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 09 Jan 2008 00:13

What is your source???

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 09 Jan 2008 00:42

Im focused on getting all the new SW and City an probably the indy sets. None of them have arrived tho.

Posted by lego vally in Australia, 09 Jan 2008 03:58

here is the web site that i was telling you about of the close ups of tyhe new VW bettle and other car.
remember how lego asked what car they should make next and people said that they should make the bettle the most. there are also other cars

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=294530

Posted by littlelegoluke in United States, 09 Jan 2008 10:10

I like the cars lego vally

Posted by moloko in United States, 09 Jan 2008 10:42

This years technic suck. I really don't want battery powered legos.

Posted by AVCampos in Portugal, 09 Jan 2008 12:08

To moloko: the excavator and the telehandler aren't battery-powered.
Speaking of which, I hope the new linear actuators don't mean the end of true pneumatics! Each architecture has its strengths and weaknesses, and neither peoperly replaces the other.

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 09 Jan 2008 15:21

To rockdog, we already know why LEGO can't make Star Wars impulse sets. David already informed us that LEGO was sued in 2000 or sometime around there by Hasbro for making those types of sets, 'cause Hasbro thought that it should be the only company to sell individual packets of only star wars character sets.

P.S. David could probably explain it better than I can.

Posted by Denver_80203 in United States, 09 Jan 2008 15:29

@AVCampos
pneumatics probably won't go away. Linear Actuators are gear driven which severely limits placement to locations you can access with a gear or shaft. They are cool because they may be stronger, appear to have a longer throw and I bet they are quicker/more predictable.

What I really want to see added to pneumatics is a battery powered compressor!

Posted by legolover94 in New Zealand, 09 Jan 2008 16:23

Did they get sued because lego sold those star wars minifig packs?

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 09 Jan 2008 17:08

YEEEEEES, legolover94! ;)

Posted by Commander Bacara, 09 Jan 2008 19:33

So what is your guys predictions of what TLC is going to come out with next year for Star Wars? I think we will see:

New Ep. II Jedi Starfighter (possibly this year)
UCS Droid Starfighter
UCS Invisible hand
UCS Accamator
Rebel Blockade Runner (like the mini-fig ISD)

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 09 Jan 2008 19:45

I'm not sure I know what your talkin' about, Commander Bacara. /:|

Posted by Commander Bacara, 09 Jan 2008 21:58

Oh! Oh! My turn! Ok, how about a rainbow collection of Episode II and III Jedi Starfighters! (like what Dwarf Vader said) All with there appropriete Jedi!

redfox: im not sure theyll make another jedi starfighter for a few years, they just made the clone wars version. We just started this year, and we dont have all those sets yet, so lets wait a little while, Commander Bacara. :)

Me: Geez, I have the set and I already forgot about it! LOL!

Posted by rockdog3, 09 Jan 2008 23:19

I am sorry for repeating it if someone already said it but... Did anybody see that AT-TE? There is that glare on the box probably with a light, and a slight shadow... Like a persons shadow... I mean, do you think somebody can already have that set somewhere in Europe? Please say anything if this was already discussed...(I don't really feel lke looking through ALL the comments)

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 09 Jan 2008 23:37

No, I haven't heard anyone say that, rockdog. And, dwarf vader, I know they shoudn't have gotten sued, but they almost did. But, still the LEGO company can't make sets like that 'cause that would draw attention back to that whole sueing story and the lego company may have to pay a large settlement. Like I said, David could probably explain it better than I can.

Posted by rockdog3, 10 Jan 2008 17:48

Ok fine. I may have read through most comments 2 times or so... I APOLIGIZE...

Posted by rockdog3, 10 Jan 2008 17:51

Dwarf Vade, I was skeptical about those "small cheapo cars" that are smaller than minifig scale until I realised that all my playing with matchbox cars as a kid I'd have happily used these new Lego racer cars instead. They are just like superior interchangeable matchbox cars.

I think it is great for Lego to try capture more of the toy market simply selling different styles of Lego models like that!

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 13 Jan 2008 09:41

The Tiny Turbos are exactly that, interchangeable Matchbox or Hotwheels cars. I love them and can't wait to see what the new cars look like each year. This year I was so disappointed. The cars look too boxy except for the white car which I bought. This car is awesome. I thought about the TT's when I reviewed them for brickset and came to the conclusion that they were like Hotwheels cars. This theme is one of my favorite themes, perhaps because as a child I loved Hotwheels and Matchbox cars. Why not tap into this market if it is still a LEGO set?

Posted by smiley905 in Canada, 13 Jan 2008 19:50

you no, they should make travke for the tt and it would be just like hot wheels!that would rock

Posted by smiley905 in Canada, 13 Jan 2008 20:42

sry i meant track, i think my keyboards messed

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 14 Jan 2008 14:48

Before LEGO made the tiny turbos, there were motorized (pull back motors) Racers cars with ugly fake minifig creature things in the cockpit. LEGO made track for these Racers. The track was kind of useless for races because the track was only wide enough for 1 car!
While on the topic of Racers, did anybody buy the F430 Challenge, set #8143? I built the yellow Ferrari and was wondering which parts I would need to make the red one at the same time so I can display both models at the same time. Did anybody attempt this or find an inventory on line for doing so? PLMK.
bmwlego

Posted by rockdog3, 17 Jan 2008 18:42

Woah! Thats a lot of themes.

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 17 Jan 2008 22:18

Hey, hey, hey! Did anyone notice that brickset just uploaded two new sets to their database: the new star wars mini snowspeder and mini tie fighter! Yes! I'm so happy! After three years, LEGO is finally making mini sets! YAAAAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

P.S. Bmwlego, don't get upset. Star Wars is just a popular theme.

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 17 Jan 2008 23:04

I don't think there will be Back to the Future sets any time soon. Minimates recently released figures based on this movie. I like to see LEGO sets hit the shelves, not licensed sets. My favorite lines are City, Train and Creator. I don't feel that LEGO needs to sell licensed products but I am a realist and know that there is way too much money to be made by selling themes such as Star Wars, Indy Jones, Sponge Bob, and the world's greatest detective, Batman. I guess this type of business practice also keeps the LEGO line of toys current and new every few years or so.
While typing this post I realized that I love my LEGO Batman sets and am glad that LEGO made them. If I enjoy Batman, why can't LEGO make other themes based on properties LEGO doesn't own like SW, HP and SB? Besides, these sets often give us parts, colors and ideas that we might otherwise never see in the LEGO universe.

I didn't read the whole thing, so sorry if someone allready pointed this out.
People are complaning about the Technic sets, namely the "vertical aculator" part, but if you consider that most of the new sets are motor controlled with the power functions...this of how many motors it would take to controll the pneumatics 1 for the compressor, and 1 for each valve. Plus all the other gunctions being motorized, that would add up to a very costly set ( 250usd+ ).

I think we can be happy with new new "vertical acculator" as long as lego doesn't see it as a replacement for pneumatics.

Hopefully some time in the neer future we will get a technic "superset" like a full ir controll, pneumatic excavator/bulldoser/other equipment, but you have to consider that it would be FAR more than any normal lego set which top off at the 150usd mark, ranging with the death star and the star destroyer, as a collector set, not a standard issue set released to stores, but untill then I think we can be happy with the good sets in the pas couple years compared to the few "dark years" before then, where there was nothing good AT ALL ;)

When i was younger (a lot younger), the technic sets always had instructions on how to add the motor set to either the main or secondry model of each set. I have not seen this so much on recent models. With a part such as the linear actuator it would be good to see instructions on how to add power function sets to each set, especially i think the excavator set, now that would be good with motors, recievers and controllers.

The pics of the new 8028 Mini Tie Fighter and 8029 Mini Snowspeeder are finally here on brickset!!!!!!! :D

Posted by x-lego-x in Canada, 27 Jan 2008 10:33

Another Note-- The vertical acculator looks EXACTLY like the consept art that someone posted on brickshelf for a hydraulic cylinder, accept that lego's one has a universal joint on the back instead of the two pneumatic/hydraulic outlets, makes us wonder where a lot of lego's inpiration comes from

Why are lego doing more mini sets? It doesnt make any sense! ITS RIDICULOUS! THERE ARE ONLY TWO OF THEM! SOMEONE EXPLAIN IT!

Posted by Leggodt94 in United States, 28 Jan 2008 20:14

What's wrong with mini sets? I, for one, am excited.

Posted by jon11380 in United Kingdom, 29 Jan 2008 11:32

I to like the mini sets. I have the train and truck one from this year and the excavator one from last year. They are good examples of what you can do with a small amount of lego to create a relatively detailed model. It can help develop peoples 'snot' techniques also for moc's.

Ummm, okay. But, a jon11380, not to sound rude or anything, but I was sorta talkin' about star wars minis. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know that technic made mini sets, but I get your point. :)

Actually i was talking creator. I find the star wars stuff to commercialised, and generally it is something that does not interest me in my own lego hobby, i just like real things. I suppose it isbecause i grew up after the first films, but long beforete second set of films :)

saying that though( sorry for double post, several years ago i did buy the mindstorms droid development kit, that was quite good fun!
