If you look at the upper right hand corner of the calendar it says Pre-order starting September 1st, find them in stores starting October 1st.

Posted by ceroknight in Canada, 16 Aug 2010 13:21

thank you R4-G9...wow overpriced much?

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 16 Aug 2010 13:29

Actually I thought the prices were right on with it being a liscenced product. My teenage son will be happy they are coming out soon. He is saving his birthday money for them.

Posted by crazyawesomeyeah in United States, 16 Aug 2010 22:21

darn it. the monthly mini build is on the 7th, and i have school on that day. i'll have homework on that day. =(

I really don't see what a book cover has to do with LEGO products besides a few pictures.

Anyway I'm not very excited about HP sets, they aren't very appealing to me, so it seems this is just going to be another month that won't need to buy a new set.

Posted by R4-G9 in Canada, 16 Aug 2010 23:12

you're forgetting 8684

Posted by legoDad42 in United States, 16 Aug 2010 23:53

Harry Potter prices are decent according to Brickipedia...

Hagrid's Hut (442 pieces) - $39.99 (good deal)
Freeing Dobby (73 pieces) - $9.99 (probably will be $10.99)
Quidditch Match (153 pieces) - $19.99 (maybe $5 bucks too high but not terrible with 5 mini-figs)
The Burrow (568 pieces) - $59.99 (fair price w/6 mini-figs)
Hogwarts Express (646 pieces) - $79.99 (about $5 - $10 too high)
Hogwarts Castle (1290 pieces) - $119.99 (good to fair price w/11 mini-figs)

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 17 Aug 2010 00:10

I think the Hogwarts castle is a very good price. When my son and I first saw the pics (before prices) we were guessing on the prices and got all but Hagrid's hut and the castle right. I thought Hagrid's hut would be $29. and the castle I thought would be $130. So, not too bad.

Posted by ceroknight in Canada, 17 Aug 2010 00:33

im only going to get the cheapest (freeing dobby) and that one is kinda overpriced.....i wish i can get more hp sets but im saving up for a few other sets including the imperial shuttle that is going to come out on sept 1st

Posted by Sword2211 in United States, 17 Aug 2010 17:05

Does Anyone know if those 6 sets will be the only new hp sets?

Posted by crazyawesomeyeah in United States, 18 Aug 2010 11:27

hey legodad42, thanks 4 all those prices.

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 18 Aug 2010 13:03

@sword2211 yes those are the only sets for 2010. Now that doesn't mean they won't come out with sets in 2011 when part 2 of the Deathly Hollows is released.
@Legodad42 I say the burrows. It looks cooler.

@ crazyawesomeyeah: No prob...Brickipedia is a good resource. Check it out.
