The Advent Calenders have arrived so soon? Christmas is 4 Months away.

I wish Christmas was here already. At least weather wise. It is 109 degrees in Phoenix today.....

... both Advent Calendars are already available in the US from US Lego Brand Stores.

I never seen these advent calenders in any Canadian stores...maybe S@H

Wow these advents calenders are getting really expensive now. I swear the 2007 city one was only £12.99. I want the kingdom one. Thats £12 more than the 2005/2006/2007 ones. The way it's going it could be £29.99 next year [shocking].

YES i agree with Firox 5000; i have never bought an advent calender before and had thought about buying the kids one this year, but i didn't expect them to be that expensive...when i look at what you get i cannot justify the £24.99.

@ ceroknight: Last year before Christmas I saw the City Advent Calendar in a Canadian TRU. The price was ridiculous though. I think it was $45 so I didn't bother buying one. Regardless, it sold out fast and that particular TRU did not restock.

The nice thing about TLG is that they are currently not limiting the number of minifigures that you can buy. I bought 16 today and was shocked when I was told that I could get 16. Which translates to almost getting all of them. I missed one. Now I have to search for one. Oh well. Either way 16 is better than 5.

Way to go TLG.

£25 wow, thats a massive mark up on the knights one this year, seeing as i think only 1 is a new minifig.
Are lego getting a little greedy?

Posted by Darren Coppinger in Ireland, 26 Aug 2010 07:33

Does this mean that other toy stores will be stocking them

Posted by burakki62 in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2010 11:15

I have just been to the Lego store in Manchester and they didnt have either the minifigs or advent calendar )o:

Posted by R4-G9 in Canada, 26 Aug 2010 11:26

ceroknight last year one of the calgary tru's had the city one for $39.99, and i think that they got two shipments of them, but the calgary lego store had the kingdoms calender for $39.99, and they will be getting the city, and kingdoms ones in by the end of the week.

Does anyone whose bought a whole box of figs know how many of each fig are in each box? Like last series there were 3 clowns, 4 cowboys, 5 ninjs ect...

Posted by bsmarthen in United States, 26 Aug 2010 14:27

Same in U.S. Ohio Store. They have both Calenders and same limit on Minifigs.

Posted by capnrex in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2010 14:35

@burakki62 - That may be because the Lego store in Manchester is not really a Lego store at all, it is a discovery centre.

Posted by Midnight in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2010 15:27

Anyone know if the Bluewater store has the calendars yet?

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 26 Aug 2010 16:06

Finally saw the advent calendar (city version) in Phoenix AZ TRU but no kingdoms one or series 2 minis.

Posted by scottwb2010 in United Kingdom, 27 Aug 2010 06:46

Just to re-iterate what capnrex said about the Lego store in Manchester. This is owned and operated by the merlin group the same as legoland windsor so infact is not an official lego shop by the lego company. And because of this you cannot get VIP points on your purchases.

Posted by burakki62 in United Kingdom, 28 Aug 2010 03:39

Ah, well that would explain the lack of space police too. It sucks not havin an official Lego store up north.

Seconded burakki62 Did you notice how terrible the pick a brick is when you were there!
