    The Motorized Excavator set 8043 is again available from the LEGO shop online. Shipping dates are 30 days for the US and Canada, and 29 October for the rest of the countries that have access to the LEGO Internet shop.

    No mention though of any replacement parts.

The problems are pretty well known now, as are the solutions, so I assume we'll also be seeing the replacement parts soon in the form of service packs.

Good to know Grahame. Has anyone had any official confirmation of the replacement parts yet? I've held of buying the kit as I'd rather not have the hassle of getting a service pack, do you think they'll have some way of identifying the new kits from the old as my local Lego store still had a few out today.
