For all you Aussie LEGO enthusiasts, the latest catalogue from Target (Australia), is advertising 20% off the price of LEGO starting from Thursday 09 September 2010 until 15 September 2010.

The catalogue features some of the new Kingdoms sets, specifically sets 7946 ($129, save $41), 7948 ($28, save $7) and 7947 ($69, save $21).

Page 17 of the Target catalogue has all the details.

Edit: There are reports that a number of Target stores have *new* stock of Series 1 Minifigures (8683), so this might be a good opportunity to get some Minifigures - especially for those who missed out when Target first stocked the Series 1 Minifigures a couple of months ago.

For those that don't have a membership to the Australian Lego club yet, Kmart are giving away free membership at the moment if you buy 2 hero factory models in the one transaction.

Sadly their prices are roughly 20% more than BIG W so still no major savings, but good to know. Thanks!

Just a note: I noticed my local Target had 2010 trains (both the Passenger Train and the Cargo Train in addition to the station). They were priced at RRP, however with 20% off they drop quite a bit.

Sounds cool, can't wait to get there!

Time to get the new technic sets! Wooooooo

Posted by CharlieTheFunEngine in Australia, 09 Sep 2010 01:58

WOOT! I'll be rushing in there this weekend to get the LEGO City Repair Truck and hopefully some collectible minifigs! Didn't find them the first time.

Most importantly, fellow Aussies, this mean a discounted Slave 1 and Clone Turbo Tank! ;)

Posted by CharlieTheFunEngine in Australia, 09 Sep 2010 03:21

Ah yes, Brickmaster47, the Clone Turbo Tank has been sitting on Target shelves around here for quite some time just waiting for a sale like this. Not a fan of Star Wars myself but I know someone will buy that set now!

Posted by Brickman193 in Australia, 09 Sep 2010 07:50

I'd buy the Turbo Tank in a heartbeat if it was under $150... but alas, Cad Bane and Aayla Secura must wait for another time... perhaps Bricklink is calling...! =P

Does anyone know if the Collectable Minifigures sold in Australia use the US barcodes or the UK ones? Or different ones altogether? If they are different, could someone post them? Thanks in advance!

Posted by cyberjoker in Australia, 10 Sep 2010 02:35

Series 1 used the europe barcodes from memory

Thanks cyberjoker! Now as long as my Target has them tomorrow... does anybody on here live near Target at Riverlink Shopping Centre in Ipswich, QLD and if so have they restocked the Series 1 Minifigures? Thanks in advance.

@ TinyTurbosCityAndToyStory Definitely the UK / euro bar codes - good luck.

Oh well, I went in at opening time today - got 3179 for 20% or AUD$4 off - no Minifigures anywhere to be seen. There are plenty of sets I'd rather have than the Minifigures, but it would have been nice to grab a few of them. Oh well.

I went there to get Creationary, but they had sold out :(
