Curses! I just ordered from S@H yesterday! My order was well under $99, but if I knew shipping would have be free, I would have added the Castle chess set, and who knows what else...

It ends on the 3rd. MOG, you might want to call Lego and see if you can take advantage of the offer. They have been really good at it in the past. It does mean that you might have to buy another set or two, but you might as well so that you can save on the shipping.

Wonder if anyone is taking mega advantage of this offer and is going to turn around and sell the sets for a profit? I know in Arizona where I live non of the TRUs have the big IJ set. Thou they have people asking for it. Makes a person go HHMMMMMMMM.

My wife ordered me the Town Plan and Mail Van from LEGO the day before they announced the sale. We called LEGO and they apologized but said that they couldn't refund us the money we paid for shipping. This is the 1st time LEGO's customer service didn't offer any help when I called to voice a complaint or dissatisfaction. I was shocked. I guess if they give the refund to 1 person they have to give it to everyone.

I'm not sure if I would buy something above $99 in the online shop (about £70 or £60 probably in England, because I live here. I don't hink I've ever spent more than £120 on the shop in one go

Why would you expect them to refund the shipping money when you didn't buy it DURING the sale? Like if I had bought a LEGO set on a saturday from let's say target, and then the next day in the sunday paper they announce for this week only all LEGO sets 20% off, I can't tell them to give me 20% off if I already bought it yesterday when they weren't having the sale. That just doesn't make any sense.

When I ordered the set I was told that the next free shipping event wouldn't take place until the holiday season. I felt lied to and supposedly the shop at home representatives didn't know about the sale the day before. If I bought something at Target the day before it went on sale I would bring my receipt back during the sale and have them either refund me the difference or return the item and repurchase it for the sale price. Who needs the money more, me or Target or LEGO?
We felt burned by LEGO because we even asked about free shipping and for the 1st time in dealing with LEGO, I was shocked that LEGO didn't do anything on my behalf.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I just thought I'd elaborate a little more on my experience. No offense taken Fighter.
