The Mobile Crane is listed at 74,99 at the UK S@H.
And in addition, delivery at S@H is 3,95 in UK, but 5,00 for Tesco.
So were is the advantage of this "offer"?

I'll be getting the Technic Crane for sure, though probably from Lego.com itself rather than Tesco... unless I see it instore, as I live about 5 minutes from one (doesn't everyone?).

@Ulli - It's £71.24 from Amazon with free shipping. The 'advantage' is Huw probably makes some cash from the sponsored post. Nothing wrong with that.

There is nothing wrong with making some extra money with add´s like this for Huw. This is a great site, and he should make as much as he can, to keep it running. One of the reasons, why I use this site normally as the "Entry-Site" for E-Bay and Amazon!
My question was, what is the advantage of such a "offer" for Tesco?
Normally you are making an add with something special (Price, Edition etc.) to get people into your store or on your site. And once they are there, you try to sell as much as possible to them, beside the offer! That´s normally the way how offers are sponsered by other "normal" or even slightly more expensive products in a shop!
But if your offer is not cheaper than normally, how can you expect to get customers attracted to your site, and if not, why do you pay for the add?

All good questions, Ulli. One advantage for the consumer with buying it from Tesco Direct is that you can have it delivered to your local store for pickup, thus avoiding the postage costs.

For Tesco, the particular offers highlighted may not be as important as raising awareness among LEGO buyers that LEGO is available from them.

I wouldn't bother Huw with such financial stuff, if he's paid he's paid, nothing to do with me. Fair play to him I say. Nothing wrong with making a little in return for the website he runs for us.
