    The good old Daily Mirror is once again giving away LEGO with newspapers. Starting next Saturday you'll be able to collect tokens or pick up the sets with the paper. ToysNBricks has a nice big image of the advert showing the sets on offer. I've created a BrickList containing the 8 I can identify: I'm sure I've seen the yellow plane somewhere but I can't find it now. (update: it's been identified now!) The 10th 'toy' is not shown: I guess it might not actually be a set, it could be a playmat or something. We probably won't know until next Saturday.

WWWWHHHHOOOO!! YES!! After months of waiting, its here!! And at last i will get an christmas tree for my city. Huw, its the yellow plane and a box to keep them all in like last year and the year before. WWWWWHHHHHHHOOOOO!!

Anyone know which shop you can collect the toys from? I think it was tesco last time Racers sets, Toy story was WHS and TRU.

Hurrah ! Here we go again....(1) place paper bag over head, (2) buy Daily/Sunday Mirror, safe in the knowledge that your identity is hidden, (3) cut out token, (4) repeat x 9, (5) send tokens, (6) receive sets.

It's becoming a bit of an annual event !

@Huw, same here. Its a real pain trying to get the set. As DrDaveWatford said, i send of for them and that makes life so much easier than trying to get it a crowed of 50. What i tend to do is get the first set and another minifigure set so when the tokens are sent, i just swap the heads makeing my city grow by two.

The parrot looks nice, but we get the turkey in North America, so it's a trade-off between the turkey and these sets.

Oh well, at least I'm not drastically missing out on sets I'd love to have from this promotion like in previous years. This year's City promotional sets are, let's face it, ugly and there aren't any Toy Story sets so really nothing to cry about this year.

For anyone in Ireland, usually the Irish Daily Mirror also has the same offer and you can collect the sets at Smyths Toys. If sending off for them, the postage price was a bit more than the UK for previous offers.

@TinyTurbosCityAndToyStory, i agree and disagree there. For me, my local lego store in birmingham closed and my local ToysRUs had closed. One painfull, gut renching 3 hour bus ride to merry hill i found the city police station for £110, agents gold hunt for £40 and that years star wars battle packs for £20 each. To add to that, NO small sets were there, so this is why i can not wait to get these sets.

@lego_nutt, go ahead!! Even if you can not get the model you can still collect the tokens and send away for them. But all this comes at a cost, £8 last year if you send away for them and you have to wait till christmas....

@ Doctor Leg O'Brick - I understand. I like small sets too, especially the City impulse sets, but none of this year's Daily Mirror sets appeal to me. Congrats on the police station - 7744, right? I considered getting that one a while ago but the multitude of stickers turned me off. I hate stickers so much I simply don't apply them, and I assume that the police station would look rather silly without them.

I wonder if some of these sets (or similar?) will end up in the US at Target in the Christmas/stoking stuffer section. They look similar to the bags they had at Easter (City fire/police)

@TinyTurbosCityAndToyStory, i wish i had 7744 but i don't. I agree about city impulse sets, but this my only way to get small lego sets. I was lucky to even get some impulce sets because the three ones that i own i got from a disscount store called "bargin bin" just down the road from me.
