More details of the forthcoming Daily Mirror LEGO offer emerged in the paper today. I've updated the BrickList  to show the days that each set will be available. There are going to be 10: Monday's offering is a snowman, we don't yet know which one but it's probably 30008. After the 10 LEGO sets there'll be a carry case and playmat again.

Unfortunately pick-up is at TRU or WHS, so it'll be token collect for me :-(

Posted by colingdi in Ireland, 20 Oct 2010 11:01

Do we know if it'll be a Smyths pick-up in Ireland again, or will it be UK only?

Posted by legominifig221 in United Kingdom, 20 Oct 2010 12:33

Posted by vamproe in United States, 20 Oct 2010 12:44

if someone would like to help a US lego freak.....
I need 2 of the altantis piranha bagged sets.

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 20 Oct 2010 13:52

@vamproe I may be able to get them for you. Would you be interested in doing a swap with these and the turkey?

Posted by Markey in Belgium, 20 Oct 2010 17:37

@ legominifig221
Yeah, too bad tesco don't do them this year. It's on my way to work, WHSmith isn't...

i wish i could get these sets. if anyone is interested contact me and i can swap for turkeys.
i like the microlight, police boat, parrot, police buggy, yellow airplane, christmas tree, and piranha. U.S for U.K, U.K. for U.S. trading is great. went to LAX and they had the daily mirror but no token, or info on the lego give away.

I live in the US but really want to get these sets...I have a friend who lives in the UK...so what do they have to do to get the sets for me?? Thanks!

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 21 Oct 2010 12:13

@DSRsoc They have to go to a shop any buy the daily mirror, then either take the token to TRU or W H Smith, or send it off then either collect the set or have it posted to them.

@c.lee.r I think I might be able to get them but I'm not sure if I can get more that one? How does that work anyone?

Posted by ensign_dave in United Kingdom, 21 Oct 2010 14:21

I've done this in the past and I'll be doing it again - I pop in to WHSmiths on my to work, buy 5 copies of the paper, they hand me 5 toys at the till (without removing the voucher) and they make fantastic stocking fillers / birthday party bag fillers for my boys. There's never been a restriction of one toy per person when I've collected - and this includes TRU. Just make sure that at either store you get there at opening time!

@ ensign_dave thanks, I didn't want to be under pressure to get sets to people in the states and not be able to get them for myself.

Posted by c.lee.r in United States, 21 Oct 2010 19:28

just got back from my local lego store. have 10 turkeys ready

Posted by Markey in Belgium, 22 Oct 2010 05:15

I'm interested in some turkeys. I hope to get 5 or 6 from each of these newspaper sets :-)

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 22 Oct 2010 07:03

@c.lee.r & vamproe I will try and get you them but I can't make any promises unfortunately.

Just saw a advert on ITV1. Looks like it is 30008.

Posted by BIONICLEGuy in United Kingdom, 23 Oct 2010 04:06

It IS 30008. I checked.

Posted by buddy in United Kingdom, 23 Oct 2010 05:56

I just got 4 30012's from WHSmiths and built 1 of them, I think it is a really good set, especially for 65p!

Posted by Markey in Belgium, 23 Oct 2010 06:57

I got 3 from WHSmith, and they crossed out the coupon with a pen, so couldn't use them in TRU :(

Posted by buddy in United Kingdom, 23 Oct 2010 07:18

@Markey I only bought 2 papers at WHSmiths, they didn't take the vouchers out or cross them out, so I got went back in later and got 2 more 30012s with the same vouchers! That means they cost me 32.5p each!

Posted by Doctor Leg O'Brick in United Kingdom, 23 Oct 2010 07:47

Well done everybody on geting 3+ of 30012, were as i got 0.......

Posted by colingdi in Ireland, 23 Oct 2010 08:20

Collection in Ireland is actually Tesco. 2 picked up and prob get more later.

Posted by Markey in Belgium, 23 Oct 2010 08:25

@Buddy - It depends from store to store, I'll try another one tomorrow, but 65p for a set isn't a bad price really.

Posted by legomatt in United Kingdom, 23 Oct 2010 22:08

The price is pretty neat, especially on the minifig sets. They will make excellent mini-christmas surprises for young family members (especially if you're on a tight budget or have a lot of little 'uns to please). Of course, I get them proper presents too, but you can't argue with 60p for an extra figure and vehicle... just so long as you can manage to keep yourself from opening them up yourself of course, that's the real test! Sure enough. lol
