Bricktober at Toys R Us - Week 4

  • Bricktober at Toys R Us - Week 4

For this last week in their Bricktober promotion (10/24 - 10/30), Toys R Us is having a Star Wars LEGO sale.  While most sets will be just 10% off the TRU price, the following 4 sets will be available for 25% off the TRU price: Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle (8096), Rebel Battle Pack (8083), Imperial Battle Pack (8084) and Plo Koon's Starfighter (8093).  However, once you take the TRU mark-up into account, the only nice deal is the Shuttle at about 20% off the MSRP.  The best thing about this deal is that you can pick up two battle packs to qualify for the 4th Retro Minifigure Magnet, the Black Falcon soldier.  As with the other promotional minifigure magnets, you receive one with a qualifying $20 purchase of LEGO sets or games.

UPDATE:  For whatever reason, the Star Wars LEGO sets are already on sale online.  Too bad the Retro Fireman Magnet is no longer in stock.

UPDATE 2:  There's an additional promotion next week.  With any LEGO construction set purchase of $50 or more, you will receive a "My First LEGO Set" bucket (6161) valued at $14.99.  This could pose problems online if your cart exceeds $50 as double promotions in previous weeks have kept the magnet from being added to your cart.

All currently available Star Wars Lego Sets at toysrus.com are at least 10% off the TRU price.

I know this week's sales aren't much but the free "My First LEGO Set" bucket (6161) is a nice throw in along with the magnet. Also, for those of us who are Rewards R Us members you should have received an email for $5 off a $50 LEGO purchase coupon valid at TRU.

Yeah, but these buckets were on sale at Target last week for $10. Both the blue and pink ones. Not a huge push to get me into the store. Also if anyone is looking for basic bricks in Phoenix I have over 4lbs of red, blue, green, white and misc bricks for sale. NEVER PLAYED WITH. Simply contact me and we can set up a time and such. I am looking for $55, but will entertain other offers.

c.lee.r thanks for the Walmart update. Not really a great set of deals, but you never know they could be having more and more.

My TRU store posted that purchases of Star Wars sets are not eligible for the "My first Lego set" promo. Other theme sets would be eligible instead. I picked up Plo Kloon Starfighter for a little under the going rate at other retailers and received the Black Falcon on my trip.
