    Several people reported that LEGO and other toys are half price in Sainsburys from today until next Tuesday. I didn't post about it earlier because LEGO wasn't included on their website so I assumed it wasn't among the 'selected toys' that were. However it's now been confirmed that in store it IS half price, so get down your local branch ASAP!

I went out this morning and got 6 rebel trooper and snowtrooper battlebacks for £30! Pretty good.

I was going to buy a Minotaurus today as a gift to someone, as it was only £10.11 when I checked a few days ago. The good news is that now it's half of *that*. The bad news is that they're of course all long gone. When I was there around lunchtime, the shelves were being restocked constantly, and every time they brought out more LEGO it was gone in a few minutes. Sadly no games; mostly City, with some Creator and SW battle packs. I only picked up a few small City and Creator sets that I didn't have before.

Very slim pickings at my Sainsbury's in Cheltenham, at the big store there was not a brick in sight at 5pm today. The other had a few small city sets and a small Atlantis set, I only picked up 7631 for £8.49 (which is actually slightly over 1/2 price!).

For those that are not aware, Argos is also selling all Toy Story sets for 25% off currently, plenty off stock left in stores for collection in my local stores. Don't forget to use the links through Brickset if you do buy :-)

I went to my branch at Hedge End at 7pm and it was like a war zone down the toy aisle. Hoardes of mothers with trolleys full of toys! There were exactly 2 LEGO sets on the shelf, neither of which were worth buying...

I managed to grab hoth rebel set (4.99), 2x Freedo speeders (12.49), Luke's landespeeder (12.49), a lots dump truck (4.99), Harry potter board game (12.49) and a fire man car set (4.99)

Sainsbury's was like a war zone.

Not much left ealier today but will try again until sale ends. Shame the online sale isn't on as the creator house (last years) is only 50quid, would of been 25quid also the city corner is 40quid again would of been 20quid.

Oh well keep checking your local stores.

Checked my local big Sainsburys in Harrogate at lunchtime today: the place had been picked clean. Staff announced that they were closing the aisle for restocking, and within minutes of the place reopening it was swarming with mums and kids. Result: picked clean again within 10 minutes.

I haven't been to Sainsburys but at the two Tesco's I've been to in the last two days they've both had The Star Wars Echo Base and the City Helicopter and Limoseen sets at HALF PRICE!!! Were'nt any left though :(

According to the staff in two stores I've visited they will also be getting more stock on Thursday - although unfortunately the promotion ends Wednesday evening...
