The 2013 Brickset user survey: Age not specified

Question:
If you rated any of them poor or very poor, please tell us why

The forum is rated a 4 for the information, but it is not the most user friendly. As an example, when I return to a topic it would be nice to start at the new messages. The forum at fatwallet.com (and focusfanatics.com) actually lists how many new posts since I last visited.

United States

Personally, I find it difficult to follow and keep track of threads in the forum. I'm probably just use to the Brickish format, but I do prefer it.

United Kingdom

photos take a while to get on the site like I have already seen on ebay when it gets on here slow. And response is because I sent something and still haven't seen any response or anything.

United States

It is not rated as poor, but the forum could be more easily anb better searched for items of specific interested posted in the past

Canada

I haven't used the forum.
Unfortunately for the images. Some of them I can see, and some of them are posted in a way that my company blocks them.
So the "quality" failes, when the image is blocked. [usually due to sub-site posting. I can see the usuall set images.]

United States

I did not notice the forum before today. It is a shame it needs me to register again.

United Kingdom

I have not yet seen the forum.

United Kingdom

The Forum could use faster navigation like the ability to jump to the last page in a thread.

Netherlands

The speed is a bit slow, but alas, I live in China.

China

I don't visit the forum not enough time in the day.

Australia

The themes section was much easier to navigate when they weren't grouped into catorgories like: action, modern day etc...
i liked the old way where it was all the theme grouped alphabetically.

United States

I think the status of the page has risen to a level where a more impressive front page would be a real benefit. It looks a little ameteur compared to the high quality of content. Maybe just a bigger, central logo with links to the various sections around it in a standardized format. Also, reduce the front page news to a ticker tape of the most recent 5 bulletins which can be entered to see the rest.

United Kingdom

The site design looks very old, the forum looks odd and broken up.

United Kingdom

There is so much blue at both sides and by coincidence I hate that colour.

Belgium

There are many reviews that are excessively brief, uninformative, or simply poorly written.

United States

more clear image of the instructions and more image pictures.
thank you
every thing else perfect good job guys keep up the good work.

United States

No low rates.

United States

The design could look a bit more professional but that's just nit picking overall very good

New Zealand

because i dont know what they are like

United States

never been to the forum because too young

Thailand

Home page could do to be cleaner/more professional...

Netherlands

Images take forever to load compared to other sites.

There's a forum here?

The reviews are simply not in depth but this site is used mainly for cataloging for me.

Korea, Republic of

Searching should always default to 'sets'
Site design is really dated, therefore some of the navigation is too. (I can send pictures of what I think and updated Brickset could look like)
The set reviews featured on the homepage are excellent, but I think user reviews have dropped in quality.
don't use the forum

United States

I rated the poor ones poor because they are bad.

United States

Actually, the recent ones featured on the home page are pretty good. But your average user's review is so so.

Netherlands

Haven't really used the forums.
Design and searching aren't brilliant. Some graphical aspects look a bit second rate, eg: top menu bar. Not necessarily a big problem.

Australia

The forum is quite old-school and difficult to navigate in comparison to others.

United Kingdom

layout of forum very weak.

Canada

on my tablet I can't see the forum

United States

Not much info found of forums, hard to browse

Australia

Way too much irrelevant off-topic rambling on forum.

Australia

Some of the articles bear no relevance to me because I live in the US; so only about one article a week is decent.

United States

Hungary

Poor website design, doesn't look like a 21st century website. Search can be difficult due to submenus galore. Images should be higher resolution with ability to magnify.

Germany

Thing I like least is the forum organization. Post need deleted quicker and some sort of better organization is needed to find threads easier

United States

Set images take too long to load and the forum is a complete mess.

United States

I love the site and everything about it. The only reason I rated the forum as poor is because I wish you didn't have to seperately have a differen't login to access it, I wish it was integrated with your brickset account.

United States

I find it odd that your staff push users to other websites to discuss MOCs.

Any and all Lego traffic would be good for the site.

United States

United Kingdom

Forum: comparing to Eurobricks, not much competition.
