The Central Base of Imperial Action

This is an amazing set. It provides a main "Hub" to your lego port. I think that with a combination of this set, Eldorado Fortress, Broadside's Brig, Lagoon Lock-up, and Sabre Island, all put beside each other in a certain way would make the perfect port.

Some people say that it's not really much of a "Trading post," but I think the cranes, chests, and barrels do it for me. It has a lot of features, like the Governor's office, a dock-house, cannons to defend it, a ramp for small boats, and a sort of office/guard tower for the soldiers. Of course, the trade boat is very nice too. It is a key feature in the set's ability to strike a balance between trade post, and navy base. Last but not least, I'll include a list of mini-figures included in the set:

Should Have Been Rereleased

Lego really should have rereleased this set because this set is so good. The little ramp for small boats to get into the water is a very cool part of this set. The cranes are wicked awesome and good to carry heavy loads. There are alot of minifigs in this set which makes this set really fun. If you are a hard core Lego pirates fan, you should have this set by now.

Huge set, great scene

This was possibly the largest set I ever owned. It's a really great scene, works well as a port. The ship is quite intricate, with nice detail. It has the right balance of men, enough soldiers to maintain order, the same amount of labourers and merchant, and token pirate. The port seems a bit sparse, but really it's just ready for you to fill it up with other ships docking (or attacking) and cargo all over the place. The buildings are straightforward, but appropriate, and have enough pieces to rearrange and build forts, etc. This set does well in materials in fact, with quite a large number of flat plates, arches and castle walls.

I think I would always have liked a proper fort to complement it, but this on its own merits definitely gets a five in my book. I am currently trying to restore my own one to its former glory (poor ship is missing sails and has a broken mast, and the men are a sorry sight, missing cannons too), though I may try to get a newer complete one and sell the old one to offset some of the costs.

CAME FROM AND IF YOU PLAY LEGO RACERS THAT IS HIS NAME IN THE POINTS STANDINGS IF YOU WANT TO CONTREDICT ME ASK SOMEONE THAT WORKS AT THE LEGO FACTORY!!! OH AND THE GUY THAT SAILS THE IMPERIAL FLAGASHIP WITH THE BLACK TRICORN AND RED SUIT HIS NAME IS CAPITAIN ROGER WHICH IS CAPITAIN RED BEARDS OLD NAME. (I THINK)Agian ask someone who works at the factoy but for now SHUT UP IDIOTS!!

i love lego pirates! i am a freaky of lego pirates!

this port is awesome, great, perfect, you have a lot of imperial soldiers and a lot of pirates and you can play great battles with a pirate ship like skull eye or black seas barracuda
